He'd be my pick too, as he can play outside mid and has some toe by the looks. GWS seem to offload their former first rounders who can't get a look in relatively cheaply too, just depends if we can convince him to come. Yeah they do need points to make up their points deficit or pay for academy picks etc, so they would value something like a 3rd rounder more than us you'd think.

Trade him for one of the GWS first rounders that are OOC: O'halloran, Caldwell or Hateley whichever fills our needs most. They'll all have more talent than whatever we might get in the second round this year.

Why are we trying to lowball him with a contract after the ridiculous contracts given to duds like kk and mediocre types like Tomlinson and preuss. Give him a decent contact you muppet Mahoney, or even better go work somewhere else.

Doesn't get the ball, doesn't kick goals. Didn't do it at U18 level either. Gives away frees, average skills, poor decision making. Some of that will improve obviously but he's not what you'd want from a high draft pick.

Pickett will likely never average more than a handful of possessions, and never kick many goals. Does a flashy move every so often though. Skills seem very average. Not the kind of player you give up what we did for.
