  1. They could do worse. The wheel turns.

  3. Jolly left both Melbourne and Sydney of his own volition. He wasn't pushed out in either case. As for Jamar being All Australian - that was some years back, and he's been anything but since.
  4. It's clear you have no idea how commerce on the Internet works, so maybe leave it. However, no-one mentioned millions. Except you. I'm at a loss to understand why you keep opening this thread, yet alone contributing to it. One post would have sufficed to express your opinion.
  5. Not necessarily true, depends on the demographic/profile of that traffic. Not to add, depends on how clued-up the site owners/managers are.
  6. To be fair, both new coaches (Mathews and Allison) are from other clubs, even if they have a past at the Swans. Also, re Tudor, he has never directly worked with/under Roos, either as player or assistant. With only a couple of years to get us back on the straight and narrow, Roos probably feels the need to hit the ground running with people around him who know how he works. Hard to argue with, and these are only a handful of appointments amongst a (much) larger FD, where there are zero other ex-Roos, ex-Swans employees apart from Misson.
  7. Be aware that if you change your email, your account details there still display and retain the old one as well. Very odd behaviour, but that's the way it seems to work.
  8. Anyone know if it's possible to delete an account/membership on 'ology?
  9. Not happy that The New Regime over at 'ology have all our passwords and login details. Anything we can do? Legal position?
  10. As a dual-site lurker, I share in some of the sentiments here. But equally, The Other Site has been lurching along for some time now (for reasons we understand) so perhaps this is just the inevitable consequence.
  11. Untrue. FA compo was derisory across the board, and Geelong received no (that's zero) compensation for Byrnes, so hard to see how he had much - or any - weight in the final equation. Our paltry compo for Rivers and Moloney says a lot about the contracts they're on at their new clubs, it has little or nothing to do with taking Byrnes.
  12. Ex Swans player under Roos (.... I see a trend here!).
  13. Hard worker, good trainer, good footy head on his shoulders, good clubman. Will come cheaply and easily. A more than useful pickup.
  14. My understanding - but can't remember or find where I read it - is that Allison is to work in development, which is what he previously did under/with Roos at the Swans. I don't know that he's our new forward coach. Nice move though, always great to be proactive, and having good people coming to the club sends a positive message.
  15. Would have thought Tudor, Burns or Simpson would have been ahead of him in the picking order, purely because he has no AFL (assistant) coaching experience. And given that there are only 2 senior coaching gigs going, presumably at least one of that trio are going to be available in any case. But - would be more than happy with Bassett.
  16. Not to mention, he has a young family that presumably is settled in there (schools etc. etc.)
  17. Don't know that this loss is about one or two unavailable Melbourne players.
  18. Jones wins from Garland
  19. People go on about our drafting in the past, which is fair enough, but to have two first year players 3rd and 4th in the B&F a) is a small victory for the drafting team and b) says something about the 'established' players ... though injuries didn't help the likes of Grimes or Trengove.
  20. Sumich, Burns or Voss to WC, wouldn't be Roos. If his family wouldn't move to Brisbane, they won't be moving to Perth. Also, if WC were seriously into Roos as a possibility, they would have been onto it already, at least at Board level. Could free up Burns as an assistant, can't see him staying there if he's passed up.
