  1. I wonder how that will work ;o Hopefully we get dibs, and if the Pies want to train at the same time they need to play on the paddock ;o
  2. Considering his progression this year, Weetra's way back in the queue. As Whispering Jack said, I wouldn't be expecting too much next year when it comes to MFC appearances.
  3. He might not have a choice. I imagine that there was a clause added to his contract re: behaviour off-field.
  4. Haha. Maybe there's an implication there. He was in the back seat of the car with his shirt off, and there was also a female in the car. *shrug
  5. In the past, Neitz has publically stated that he hoped to relinquish the captaincy before he retires. Last year, he said that McDonald would make a good captain. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
  6. Very true. Something that's probably forgotten at times when supporters are writing players off as duds.
  7. Just maybe, Nicholson was better than Ferguson.
  8. It's also a myth that exists on AFL.com.au. I quote - "Interestingly, Ferguson was almost traded to Hawthorn several seasons ago in a deal that would have landed 2007 Hawk best-and-fairest winner Brad Sewell at the Demons." - Source
  9. Means any other delistings are pretty unlikely. IMO, a good decision. edit: However, I think that if he'd had a good pre-season in the gym he could have bulked up and been a player B)
  10. The criticism was that he didn't always pass long, he often just bombed long.
  11. Why not reward the guys that show the best form, fitness, and attitude? I don't think we should give Meesen a gig just because he's only played a couple of games and therefore his confidence might be down. If PJ/Jamar have done more to earn a spot in the team then they should get it. Where do Newton and Bate fit in? I would have thought they could contribute up forward - particularly Newton. Has PJ taken pack marks? I thought one criticism was that he doesn't use 'throw his body around' enough for a big guy.
  12. Any player you add to your list is an investment. It isn't a given that Whitnall will play good football for us, and help us succeed - there's risk involved. Assuming he is able to play AFL football to a decent standard, for how long? At what cost to the development of other players? What about the risk/reward of Whitnall compared to the risk/reward of a younger player who has a career ahead of him (as opposed to Whitnall)? If successful, and that's in no way a given, Whitnall will give you a couple of years at best. No thanks.
  13. -rotation +form, and that goes for all four. At least that's what I'm hoping.
  14. Agreed. What's the point in taking him? We're not going to win a flag in the next couple of years. Assuming Whitnall played well and increased the success of our team - and that's not a given by any stretch - he'd just be robbing youngsters of a game, and us of better draft picks.
  15. I suggest it's difficult to prove when the alleged victim denies it happened.
  16. Obviously Vardy had a decent profile. Was Ingerson getting a regular gig at Adelaide? He was a pretty decent CHB for us.
  17. Is Holland worth more to us than pick 69? Yes. Is Warnock worth more to us than pick 69? Yes. Is Ferguson worth more to us than pick 69? Hrm.
  18. I'm happy with what we did.
  19. I don't think it's pointless at all. Jeff White won't be around forever, and the other three are youngsters who are yet to even cement their spot as a second ruck. If one's injured, that means we've only got three lads who can play ruck. If futher form or injury hits, what other options are there? Holland? Ferg? It would have been nice to get more, but if it's the best we could do *shrug I also think TJ could do very nicely at Brisbane.
  20. How do you know he wasn't at all interested? From the limited times I've seen Schneider, he's seemed alright.
  21. It got a smile here, nice post
