Why now. Why not do it before the trade period. What does 3 weeks make. I mean players that moved on may have decided to stay. I just think its strange that a few weeks before the draft you would want to be settled with a coach so he can pick the players he wants. I feel sorry for Watters in a way. Maybe they want there champ back Robert Harvey as coach. Bring some life back. But we cant allow ourselves to lose in r1 like last year. But at least another club is in the news for coaching reasons and we are left alone.

At least we dont have to travel down to geelong. Its about time we got to play nth at the mcg. Even though we play them at eithad in the last round. Bit annoyed we have to back up queens bithday after the darwin game but at least its a 10 day break. We dont have to travel to brisbane and we only play richmond collingwood and essendon once as well as geelong and hawkers. It doesnt look to bad. Wow he had 2 rising star nominations with us was a number 11 draft pick, starred against geelong and now delisted by north. Talk about a short career. Maybe he had a porr attiude or just didnt work hard enough under Brad Scott. Im sure someone will pick him up. But there must be a reason why he couldnt get 1 game for north during the season.

Yeah I dont blame Jones for thinking why did I just sign a 3 year contract. It sounds like he was one of the players that liked Neelds way of coaching. But it sounds like Peter Jackson made him see things in a better light. God bless that man. anyway onwards and upwards

Sometimes people make better coaches than players and vice versa. Look at Tim Watson a superstar player but was a shocking coach. Voss ended up on the scrap heap and Hird just wrecked his club but has survived. Roos knows what these people can bring and there good points.

I have stopped listening to KB on thursday and fridays between 9 and 10. But yes Greg has been correct about 2013. However I hated when he called us the bears. But its funny when he bags other teams. When he had a go at hird and essendon during the saga it was just great to hear him really have a crack at hird. So he went pick 3 in the 2011 draft and now gws trade him. He looks like he has some size on him and from what people say is a very good player even comparing him to Black. So im pretty happy with that deal.

I agree and I have also been impressed with Josh Mahoney. Since he has been in this role he hasnt done a lot wrong. Maybe he should have been in our administration department years ago instead of being our forward coach.

Why should he re commit. 2014 hasnt started. I dont blame him for waiting and seeing how much we improve. Look I had an issue if Watts left but James has busted his guts out in our backline. The amount of time it has been in there over the past 3 seasons has been a lot and he is always fighting hard. I would be shattered if he goes next year but if a hawthorn or geelong or a freo want him then I dont blame him for going to a team that will play finals or win a flag. Unfortunately when the team has been crap in the past few years players will want to go.

We can see which assistants will be suitable. But I reckon Brett Kirk would be a very good senior coach.
