  1. They asked Maxy about it on the radio after the game and said yeah I have never seen a medicine ball used on the MCG before, pointing out what was the pint. Then they joked about his height helping him because he'd have his head out of water. But then jokingly said maybe Petracca should do it again next week seeing as he played well today.
  2. Interesting to see how the dogs go tonight against richmond who are without Riewoldt tongiht and obviously others. Good win by brisbane. Who would have thought they would be sitting 4th on the ladder.
  3. Agree, love how he gets to every player and just hugs them. Saw Macca and him give each other a hug to. At 3/4 time I saw him talk to goody about something, I think it was about Oscar because Macca said something to him as he was about to walk to his position. Just a bit of encouragement to him and a word. But gee that will get the confidence back up I hope. I thought Goody giving them 4 days off was a bad idea but the break to freshen up may have helped. Good to see Tommy get the ball back in his hand, taking some marks and kick a goal Harmes apart from the 2 dumb 50's he gave away and Im pretty sure he will know not to go in that area again was just awesome. He shut down O'Meara after 1/4 time. He only had 4 possessions after that. Plus Harmes kicked an important goal. Max was back to hs marking best and his ruck work. Apart from that stupid short kick in the final minutes he stood up. I just love Lockhart and Hore. They are adding something to this team. Jeffy was good to. Yes he was selfish in that first quarter but his pressure was pretty good after that. Sometimes he could have gone for goal and it was like he was in 2 minds about giving it off or not. Keilty Id give another game to. He didn't get a lot but when he contested the ruck in that final term and then roved it himself, ran forward and set up the goal that was beautiful. I just watched the final 2 minutes of the AFL site. Wow Frost was huge there. Also to Dwayne Russell, Frost isn't a goal keeper he is a full back. On the umpiring they clearly missed that 50 metre penalty when Scully got done for holding the ball and the hawks player kicked it away. Also I remember Roughead got tackled in the middle of the ground and placed the ball on the ground and the ump said play on.
  4. Nice mark tommy. Good play and nice finish jeffy
  5. Jonsey!
  6. Lets hope we've found some confidence at half time. 9 points is nothing. First goal would be great
  7. Fritta nice goal. Watching that trac? Stop handballing and kick
  8. Seriously we pay these players how much and they kick like that. Petracca that was pathetic
  9. Oh jordan. No confidence.
  10. We need to start manning up on these hawks. Far to easy with them being able to get the ball down the ground. Just saw bartlett and perty killing themselves laughing about something. Glad they are enjoying themselves
  11. Selfish by jeffy then. Should have handballed over the top to tom. Instead went the impossible goal
  12. I have no idea what to except today. Ive gone back to that Im not excited feeling. If we win great, if we lose well it's not surprising. Interesting to see if Goody changes up positions again today.
  13. Bizarre incidents just follow Trac. From dog bites, to basketball injuries and now this.
  14. Well done to David Mundy on his 300th tonight. They have only been around for 25 years and yet have produced more 300 game players than us. Yes only by one but still, I do wonder why we have never produced more being the oldest club and all. Saints have come back. Will be an interesting last quarter.
  15. I have a 4 yr old and 7 yr old niece. My brother has said being a melbourne supporter will teach them patience and resilience. But I do remember he took the 7 yr old to her first game when she was a month old when we were going terribly and a someone walking past said that's child abuse.
  16. Well currently the only way is up. I hope the players are enjoying there 4 day break and someone realises there team that they play for is currently sitting stone motherless last.
  17. Dam you port. Just kick 1 more goal and nth would have remained on the bottom. Back down we go by .7%. God we are losers.
  18. Agree, I know they call it the ANZAC round but tonight they didn't have the NZ anthem. Either do it properly or not at all and how weird will it be doing it on sunday in Tassie. Im pretty sure they don't do it in the NRL. Anyway on another note did anyone see the Ben Cunnington elbow into a port head? Seriously this player has some dirty tactics off the ball.
  19. Well lets hope port give nth a thrashing tonight and put them back in the spotlight
  20. That is the first time in a long long while I have been bored at a footy match. Well after 1/2 time that is. I mean in that first quarter we were going ok. But at 1/2 time and after even though we were only a few goals down it felt like we were 6 goals down. Even when Neal-Bullen kicked that goal in the 3rd I just couldn't get excited. Anyway at least I have a 10 day break to worry about our next game. Oh on a side night. Well done to all involved in the pre game ceremony. It was really well done.
  21. I never thought I'd have to go back to the bad days where I would go to the footy and it's a good day if we lose under 10 goals. But tonight I go to this game knowing we won't win. Last year we got beaten by 46 points in the same game. Anyway the good thing is get the game over tonight the weekend is free and by then everyone would have moved on. But I am interested to see if Goody does anything different tonight. also would love to see some players get back into form who have been down.
  22. My 4 year old niece has just enlightened me to tell me why Melbourne lost. Because they wern't wearing the right knickers. So that's where it's going wrong. Kids have the simplest explanations sometimes. But tonight Im interested to see what we will bring. I found last night the essendon game and I only watched the 2nd quarter where we kicked 5 or 6 goals in a row. That's where we were at our best at pressure, tackling playing on and kicking it properly to our forwards. I just want to see a better effort and start tonight.
  23. They bring in Riewoldt we bring in strecth and neal bullen. I know others but couldn't they rest Riewoldt for another week. Seriously with no Oscar Frost can't stop both Lynch and Jack. Seriously though the pre game show is awesome. So good with the lights off and just people's phones seeing the light horseman go around the G with the flame.
  24. Its just not fun going to the football anymore.
  25. just left the game and walked past the great barassi and just felt sad for him thst he will probably never see a premiership. What has happened to us since our last game. Maybe we should have reviewed that prelim. A lot of star players down Can we blame bartlett for getting pert in and pj leaving. When he left he never would have thought we would go back to the days of playing woeful football
