WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
dees189227 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
gosh he really struggled at training didnt he? But the poor kid has now got the reality of a footballer and i guess his fitness will get to the level its meant to be. At least he had the others there to help him. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - AARON VANDENBERG
dees189227 replied to The Red Fox's topic in Melbourne Demons
Aaron Vandenberg (Ainslie) is our first pick in the Rookie Draft - No.2 overall. He once got 56 disposals in a NEAFL match! great lets see that form. No pressure or anything. -
Grimes steps down as co-captain
dees189227 replied to Its Time for Another's topic in Melbourne Demons
gosh even more important we re-sign Jones. just imagine the worst and he goes. We dont really have a lot of people ready to step up. but i cant see it happening. -
looks good
-
well lets just give them a reason to stay at our club and not leave because we are still a crap team which id like to think in 2-3 years we wont be.
-
wow so for once we can get really really excited and not have to put up with reports about us stuffing up our picks and we should have taken this player instead of these guys. good.
-
Excuse my dumb question but what time does the draft actually begin?
-
geez this bloke could have been a premiership player and now look where he is. How dumb do you have to be for not only stealing a car but speeding then posting it on social media. If he is still around in 20-30 years he will look back on what could have been with regret i reckon.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
dees189227 replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
yeah he does. How big a deal do we make about it. I mean he will be running out having not played a senior game yet. Do we just stick it on the banner and say yep 200 games is a good milestone. Anyway im looking forward to seeing what he brings to our backline. At least he is a runner so we may get it out of the 50 quicker. -
Yze replaces Beveridge as Hawks Backline Coach
dees189227 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Danny frawley is working with him part time as a backline coach. So I guess he will be working with his nephew. -
venom denham just said he wants a 5 year contract and a pay increase. Denham said melbourne have paid unders for Jones and he is on 1/2 what dawes is on and a 1/3 of what Mitch got. He said give him want he wants because he bleeds for that club. The way he was talking melbourne didnt jump at it. Greg is right though, Give him what he wants, lock him away and it is done.

Mark Stevens @Stevo7AFL 4h4 hours ago But make no mistake, GWS like him ... Marketing dream.. Mark of year every week.. Could go after Howe again 0 replies2 retweets4 favorites Reply Retweet2 Favorite4 More Mark Stevens @Stevo7AFL 4h4 hours ago Reported on 7 news Oct 17 that GWS threw pick 7 at Melb late to try and snare Jeremy Howe. Under contract, Dees held aces. Too late to deal swap him for Cameron. No seriously I do not want another year of players saying I will put off talks. I know he is entitled to but its a pain. Im sick of losing a good player each year. on Jones I expect him to stay. Only because he comes across as that loyal sort of bloke who likes to finish the job. But geez if Jones did go Id cry and it would rip the heart out of the club.

he may thrive down there. Good luck to him. he will be training among superstar players to learn from such as selwood, bartel, johnson , kelly and others. Something he never had at melbourne. Plus he is going into a club that has a winning culture and plays finals. A different environment although a good tweet from jon ralph. Sam Blease a Cat. I hope he realises what a second chance this is & works his arse off. Wasted talent so far. Nowhere near fit enough

Tapscott continues Melbourne’s hellish record at the draft table since 2006 with Tom Scully (pick 1), Cale Morton (4), Jordan Gysberts (11), James Frawley (12), Lucas Cook (12), Sam Blease (17), James Strauss (19) and Addam Maric (21) no longer at the club either. bloody hell what a crap recruiter we had.

still cant host a home game against essendon at the G and we are back down at geelong. dam. But its good we are hosting the saints, dockers and dogs at the G and we get a friday night game even if its an away one. Cant believe we are playing the pies twice but thats ok. Woohoo we only play nth once and its at our ground. r22 could be interesting. us v gws at etihad. If we are still having a shocker then it may be a first. No one will show up at the game.
-
well im definitely not going to etihad. 5:50 on a friday. No way would I get there in time. Plus its essendon. No thanks. typical the only time we get a home game against them its pre season.
-
dam dam dam why does a good guy such as Jack desrve this? Why cant other people like martin or why cant scully get a serious injury. well at least he knows the club are supporting him and we need to see him out on the field so he can show us what jack trengove the number 2 pick can do.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW

http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-firming-to-select-midfielder-angus-brayshaw-in-next-months-national-draft/story-fndv8pdq-1227102178013 Wow they still get a little clip to us in there about not picking wines. Fair enough. Huge wraps on Brayshaw already comparing him to selwood. Maybe just maybe one of our early draft picks will work out for us. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRENDAN McCARTNEY
dees189227 replied to kurtneverdied's topic in Melbourne Demons
good now he can tell us how to stop Libba when we play the dogs next. -
I came across this story on the AFL website. Wow what a team we could have had. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-10-24/they-could-have-been-demons I didnt realise that tapscott got picked before fyfe and I dont even what to look at morton going before dangerfield. But some picks were ok. McDonald at 53 and howe at 33 and col at 46.
-
well at least r1 kicks off at home. Saturday arvo at the G is great especially in autumn. I hope we get a good turnout. We are due to win in r1 sometime.
-
He had the child when he was out until 5am when he got into a fight. Now im not saying he isnt allowed out but if I was his partner I wouldn't be impressed with him being out until then when u have a newborn. I dont think we need him and especially with Gartlett there. Keep them away from each other. Besides he probably doesnt want to come to our club. Maybe he should have signed the contract he got offered mid year instead of saying no and holding out for more money. Sort of backfired on him a bit.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
dees189227 replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I cannot believe Ian Prendergast made the comment about comparing players to construction workers exposed to asbestos. Is he for real. The essendon players had a choice weather to get injected or not, those poor didnt have a clue what they were exposed to. When they rocked up to work they didnt know asbestos was going into there lungs. What a tool. -
well thats the impact this club has. Have a guy for 1 year and send him into retirement. Probably couldnt deal with the frustration for another season. Lenny hayes would be perfect but he doesnt want to get into coaching.
