Ugh if we won last night we'd be sitting only 2 points behind the pies. I know they were 2 down and there best backman missing but not sure what damage the lions can do come September against stronger teams. They only kicked 1 point in the final term and were lucky they had a good 3/4 time lead. But nice to see the pies lose, hope eddie enjoys reading about it in the paper tomorrow.

I am so happy for Steven May. I hope the media give him the credit he deserves. He has been outstanding all season and tonight he was just so reliable. Langdon is becoming a very good player. I can see why we wanted him. Trac set it up beautifully in the 1st quarter. I'm just happy. It's a relief to get a win and against a team that was above us.

Wow richmond only just snuck home. They had 66 inside 50s to essendon 30. There kicking was inaccurate and got some free kicks handed to them. But essesndon losing did make my day a bit better. See Lynch was up to his old tricks again giving lynch a whack in the neck.

Well it was fun being in the 8 for a week. The 3rd quarter we will rue back on. Disgraceful. We had it inside more 50s but couldn't convert and they put on 6 goals in a row. Scoreboard pressure in the first half failed because we couldn't convert. Melksham kicking into the man of the mark was a massive error from a player of that experience. Petracca only went at 31% kicking accuracy and Viney wasn't much better.

That quarter summed up in the last 10 seconds. Hannan free in the 50, Weiderman turns around and kicks it straight to a dogs player.

Better but the dogs have the breeze in the 3rd so we need to keep the pressure up. May has been magnificent for us. Fritta bounced back with a nice goal. Presuss finally doing what he had to do. He is taller and much more bigger than english. He needs to dominate those ruck contests and he started to hit it in the right spots.

That wind is just causing havoc. However we cannot lay a tackle, man up or find a target. The dogs players seem to be free and we can't get it out of our backline.
