  1. Look he just needs to tone down the aggression in the sense we don't want him getting suspended all the time. But he will be a great addition to our backline. He is a mature player who can hold his own down back. He was on that trade talk show on ch9 last night and said what stood out was goodwin talking to him about what Melbourne and the coaching group can do for his game personally and for him. Said that's what he was most impressed with. Anyway I look forward to see him do his stuff next year.
  2. So when we play hawthorn we can move on and not boo him. Let the few GWS fans boo him. Im still surprised he wanted back in the city of melbourne. As I have said before I thought he enjoyed the fishbowl life in sydney. It was weird to see him in a hawks jumper. But we all know Clarko is a genius and somehow he will make this work. But gee I cannot believe all hawthorn paid for him was a 4th round pick.
  3. Could he play as a crumbing forward or swap from midfield to forward? I think he will be pretty good for us.
  4. Can we blame Mark Neeld for this. He got us Jesse, got us all excited about the nest big superstar forward. Look at least next year we won't have to put up with will he or won't he re-sign. He would have gone home, so at least we got the deal done now. Also after Melbourne games no longer will we have to read about his bad body language and him sooking on this site. But I wish Jesse all the best. He has been through more at the age of 23 then most of us have in a lifetime. He has lost his Dad and had a cancer scare and had injuries on the way. But good look under Ross Lyon. He has gone from being under a calm coach to Ross who seems to be demanding, gets angry and expects a lot from his players.
  5. So does his dad still work there at the giants?
  6. I can see why he wanted to go. More opportunities is what he wanted. All the best to him and I hope he can stay injury free. Will always remember his wonderful goal against west coast to seal the win.
  7. Im happy with this. It gives Max more of a break and this guy is massive so he can go forward to. It means hopefully weiderman and Tom know longer have to do ruckwork and can stay down forward.
  8. Im surprised the talk he wants to come back to melbourne, does he dad still work at the giants? I thought he enjoyed the fishbowl life of a footy player up in sydney. But maybe the salary cap is pushing people out. I don't think we need him, but if he does play for hawthorn I really hope we don't boo him It was 7 years ago, we are a new team and have moved on.
  9. Well I just hope that this doesn't backfire on us and we end up losing Jesse and don't land May. By the way we have Oscar, Hibbard, Frost and will get Lever back so where will May fit? I can see why they would want an answer from Hogan because next year it will all be about him and will he won't he re-sign with melbourne but I really don't want him to go because I just fear if something happens to Tom then we have to rely on weiderman. Yes he had a good back half but could he step up and take the lead. In saying that I did think at some stage Jesse would go home. I think now we could cope with his loss where as a few years ago it would have felt like the world may have ended.
  10. Did Peter Jackson get a standing ovation, because he bloody deserved one
  11. Only 2 goals in it. Game back on. Im still going for wc. Yes they beat us but at least I know it took the premiership team to knock us out. Plus I couldn't stand ed and bucks and there fans
  12. It feels like last weeks game except its collingwood that have got the good start instead. Wc need a goal to settle things and fast or this could be over soon
  13. Did I read correctly? Rance got 0 votes. Ha so why did he get an invite? The superstar got donuts
  14. Wow I was more happy with how Gus went. Gee imagine if he did play the first few games. He could have easily won it. I now hope he realises his potential and when he has the right mindset and puts in the hardwork in the pre season. The thing with Brayshaw not only does he raschk up the possessions he kicks goals as well. A shame Maxy didn't get more votes. I think the brownlow is just a midfielders award now. One thing is obvious if Carlton get there crap together and win games, Cripps will definitely win a brownlow. But good on Jetta for winning the Jim Stynes award and it was really nice footage to see Stynes and Gawn who looked so different and Jim talking to Gawn and handing him his jumper. It's a shame he isn't around to see how well Gawn is playing.
  15. Well that was devastating. We led all day until the 13 minute mark of the last term. We did not kick a goal in that final quarter, that will not win you a flag. What a crap 24 hrs
  16. Disappointing quarter but still have a 3 goal lead. Just doing some silly things
  17. Well this is more enjoyable than this time 24 hrs ago
  18. Russell robertson sang the anthem
  19. Im on my way wearing my Melbourne scarf and I feel a bit of a loser in the way we were hideous yesterday. But I know once im at etihad there will be other demons still feeling disappointed
  20. Im going today to hopefully see something positive out of a bad weekend. But Id be rapt to see Bernie finish today with a premiership medallion. Yes I know he would have been hoping it was with the melbourne senior team but he will give it his all. If we won yesterday there may have been probably more poeple that would have turned up If we won yesterday the atmosphere would have been more exciting. Im sure it will still be good. Also Pedo deserves to have a premiership as well. His attitude since being dropped has been terrific. He has been the 1st to congratulate the boys when they have come off the ground patting them on there backs. I went a couple of years ago when we lost to the dogs, so today will be good if we had a victory.
  21. Next year Im going to look at Petracca as a player to take the next step in his game. He is going to come into this 4th year and for a number 2 pick he needs to play a lot better. Jones yes played badly but I reckon he will use his disappointing game yesterday to push himself harder and better next year. This guy has carried this club on his shoul;ders for many years. I have never seen Jetta fumble like that or kick so badly before. But now they need to know what is required to get tot he big day. I must say though it's a tad harsh from Mark Robinson to call us chokers. Yes we obviously played a crap 1st half but WC didn't allow us to play our game. No one expected us to make a prelim. The media jumped on our bandwagon and hyped us up. Id be more disappointed if I was richmond. They are the one's that finished top, had this amazing winning streak on the mcg and had a terrible 1st half. They should be copping it as well. Plus they took in a injured player who contributed nothing and there footy manager looking like a right royal fool by trying to tell us there is nothing wrong with him. Anyway it was still a good season and we improved on last year.
  22. As am I and I have been to the grand finals since 2010. This year Im not going. I missed out in the ballot but im not queuing for a collingwood wc gf. If WC win then at least they can celebrate it back home and we don't have to hear about it, if the filth win we are going to have it rammed down our throats for weeks on end, can yo imagine the media coverage, seeing Ed carry on, Joffa and there feral fans. Plus Id hate to see De Goey, get a medal and also also Howe. I can imagine Howe saying I love this club and the boys, this is why I left melbourne. Sorry I know he is free to leave but players like Jones and gawn deserve a flag before him. Im actually contemplating going to sydney for the weekend to get out of melbourne. May go to the NRL grand final to support the storm. Ugh its going to be all black and white in the media this week.
  23. Look yesterday we needed the Lewis who played really well against geelong and hawthorn, but yesterday we got the undisciplined Jordan. The one who gave away a dumb free kick in the 1st quarter resulting in a goal, gave away 50's butchered the ball, yes I know he wasn't the only one but he is meant to know better. I suspect he may go on for another year though, or maybe he thinks he has had enough.
  24. Look after r23 last year when we were disappointed, if someone said to you we will finish in the 8 win 2 finals and play in a prelim we would have taken it. Yes we started poorly but West Coast learnt from last time they lost to us and made sure we couldn't do anything. We still have young players who have bettered there game for this experience. Next time we play finals they will know what to expect. Its a great experience for Viney, Oliver, Brayshaw, Spargo etc. But it was a great ride this season, we put out the cats and hawks in the finals in front of crowds over 90,000. Yes im disappointed about today but we will learn from it. Lets hope Casey win tomorrow and hopefully Max can go close monday night.
  25. West Coast finished 2nd for a reason. Today just wasnt our day. But the boys have had a taste of what is needed to take the extra step. They will use this experience and learn from it. Throw Hogan and Lever back in and it looks better. Lets face it a year ago when we lost against collingwood and we were all furious, if someone told us we would make the prelim the following year we would have taken it. Its still been an enjoyable year. Lets get Casey over the line tomorrow.
