There was a story a few years ago about him in the newspapers where he spoke about depression, his marriage breakdown and the toll the 2002 bali bombings took on him. I hope he gets all the help he needs.

Saturday Talking Point: Game Day 27/2/16
dees189227 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well im in sydney for the week do obvoudly it hasnt got a lot of coverage. But I happened to catch sky news and the first thing they mentioned was Brayshaws injury, but from reading reports it doesnt seem to bad. I have watched the highlights off the AFL website. Firstly I know its just a practice match but gee its good to have a win and at least the mood will be good at the family day tomorrow. Just by seeing the highlights can I just say how good it will be to have vandenberg back for the season. Another strong big body will help. That checkside goal he kicked was a beauty. The defensive pressure looked good and nice to see Maxy play well. Viney obvously played his usual way and nice to see Pederson back. -
Not really sure how Damo got dragged into this and people are having a crack. He hasnt put anything on social media since jan and pretty sure he wouldnt believe a silly story someone put on big footy. He is a bit better than that.
-
See Robbo has put this story out and I knew once I read it all sorts of stuff will start to spread and rumours will happen. But I wonder when the feud erupted because once footy finishes its a joke on radio that Garry becomes a recluse and doesnt speak to anyone off season and Bill has been away most of the summer. anyway it will be interesting to see how this does affect the footy show. Its well known the producer spoke to both Sam and Bill about there behavior so this could be a way out to move Bill. The person stuck in the middle of this will be JB.

Apparently Bucks grilled Howe intensely again on what happened. That would have been a nervous conversation. Bucks is a bit different to roosy.
-
Its very suspicious. I mean he didnt tell the club he was playing cricket, he goes off after dropping a catch then he decides to go to the park and play frisbee? Then says he hurt it then. Jeremy you arent at melbourne now. You are at a club that has a lot of expectations and I wouldn't want to be lying to Bucks or Balmy.

This will just go on and on. Im so over it, the footy world is over it. I get the players want to prove there innocence but sheesh there is only so much we can take.
-
Geez not sure cats fans will enjoy seeing stevie j in a giants jumper next year and kelly in a bombers one. Crowley and Kelly are more skilled than some of those 34 players that have been suspended. But I wonder how fit they have been keeping themselves over the pre season. Kelly is obviously looking forward to it. James Kelly @JamesPopsKelly 8m8 minutes ago #donthesash @EssendonFC

So the punishment is players are rubbed out for 12 mths but suddenly then can draft good players like Crowley and Kelly. Yes I know they were older but they are still good players. Kelly will be very handy for them and I know we delisted Jamar but I will be shattered to see him run around in a bombers jumper.

If you really want to read something hilarious read yesterdays h/sun. (Sat). They have managed to do a double page spread on the players partners. Not one of them quoted . It's hilarious reading and just a page filler.
-
I couldn't help myself. I tuned in for 1 minute just to see the interview set up. Who are the rent a crowd people in there?
-
Geez it sounds like doc reid may not have been all innocent. But Lovett-Murray gets 10 injections in one hit and doesnt seem to ask more questions. 10 injections would be very painful. In fact Lovett-Murray seems to be the more outspoken one and I guess he loses his coaching gig. But geez they are still quick to blame everyone else.
-
Actually im a little surprised we haven't seen the media cap outside his house. But my god he is blaming others again. Wonder what McCartney will have to say and Im sure Mark Thompson will no doubt fire back. High performance was the mantra from top to bottom with then club president David Evans driving us to find the best ways to do everything we did," Hird wrote. "It would become clear our football team team was uncompetitive in the "strength stakes". "Our thinking was heavily influenced in 2011 by two-time premiership coach Mark Thompson, who was my senior mentor, and Brendan McCartney, my senior assistant coach."
-
If you google funny essendon photos you get a whole heap comong up. Some of them are very funny. These are my favourite.
-
Wait until he somehow blames the AFL.
-
Im sick of seeing the bummers all over the papers, news and social media. Yes I know its huge news. Also I noticed the herald sun are having a 2 part interview with Turd as well. My god the golden boy butt out, u have ruined your club and can deny it all you want but you walked into the club arrogantly thinking i was a superstar player who doesn't need to do any assistant coaching and will be a success. All you did was try to get a quick fix and it backfired. I bet robbo does the story.
-
Jobe said they may appeal. When does this stop. I mean if they appeal then do wada have the right to appeal again if for some miracle essendon get off? Kochie was right in what he said. They and the other clubs wanted essendon to deal with it quickly. If they did this would all be over and so would there punishments. Who would pay for this appeal. Surely essendon have spent enough money on this,

Ralphy is putting up a few names on twitter to recruit. Crowley he suggests and also ask James Kelly if he wants to come out of retirement.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
dees189227 replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
So Jake isnt allowed near the club for 12 months? Or the other banned players for that matter. So what do they do? Can our training guy still work with him? Maybe Jake has to live in the real world for 12 months and get a job. That would be interesting. -
It sucks we get them in r2 because for the first few weeks they will be angry and motivated. Half way through the year they will be losing motivation. Gosh though 12 months. I didn't see that coming. But its sort of funny in a way. Dank is going on about the outcome being a joke. Well you refused to testify and help the players. Turd still wont accept responsibility. Guess what u arrogant loser you have wrecked that club. I hope in 10 years time the players arent dealing with side effects from this. For anyone interetsing Turd is going to be on radio sunday night and I hitnk on abc24. ABC to show live, exclusive 50-minute interview with James Hird at 7.40pm AEDT Sunday On the h/sun website they have published some transcripts. Jake asked Dank about a drip because he hadnt had one this week. “We’ll do it tomorrow.’’ Response to Dank when told he had forgotten his shot. Jobe Watson. Seriously were they just having a revolving door down there. I like Jobe but he cannot keep his brownlow. How much will it hurt them to see Jobe lose it and be given to ,Mitchell. I dont think Mitchell will want to accept it. If an Olympic athlete is found guilty of substance use then they would lose there medal. And I did feel for Tim Watson tonight on 7 because he was talking as a father to one of those players. As for Paul Marsh. I get he has to defend them but dont say we believe the players have done nothing wrong. At least some of the smart ones said no to the program but its hard to defend them. And don't say let the players grieve. Yes they have lost there job for 12 mths but no one died. I mean if my boss came to me tomorrow and said we will start this injection program I would have a ton of questions to ask and id refuse. Essendon fans dont blame the AFL. They didnt start this. I wonder if Demetriou is sitting back having a quiet drink. anyway the thing is now this will dominated the news. I deliberately didnt listen to any radio today or watch the news well except the sport. You also know its big when AFL360 is on and Footy Classified is back for a special as well. Will tune in and listen to Damo give it to the club.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
dees189227 replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think we can cover Jake. We are allowed to bring up a rookie and its not like he has been with us for a few years dominated and he is a midfileder. At the monument its going ok. We arent losinga jones or a vince. I think its worse for stkilda who have Carlisle, the dogs who have a tall key forward and even Port who lose Ryder as there ruckman. He will be a new recruit for us next year and hope he comes back better for it. -
Christian Petracca's toe injury (in full training)
dees189227 replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well it seems he knows he probably shouldnt have been playing basketball going by his tweet. Frustrating time and setback in my goal of playing as soon as I can in 2016. I made a mistake and I'll learn from it. Thanks for the support But interesting to hear Liam Pickering speak this morning on his thoughts. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/melbourne/liam-pickering-blames-christian-petracca-for-latest-injury/news-story/c8fb5070b606688f95f64113af2e4117 -
Christian Petracca's toe injury (in full training)
dees189227 replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
So its a broken toe. Christ is he going to be another trengove who is cursed? Another high draft pick that is injured again. -
Look I get the criteria but when I read on twitter that Jones got it I thought great he deserves it. Each week he gives everything out there and leaves nothing behind. I mean look he played with that serious neck injury for most of the year. Then he posts on twitter how much it means to him to get life membership and how he loves the club and cant wait until next year. Rivers no problem with it. He won a rising star, and was great for us down back and consistent. I didnt know he was snapped up by the pies as a development coach. Good on him. But Col, my god the man said himself he didn't always reach his full potential. So frustrating and not a number 3 pickup.
