Good luck to her. Jim being the kind man he was, I reckon he wouldn't want Sam to be alone and would want her to find happiness again. Its not like Jim died unexpectedly and she moved on. It sounds like she still gets on with Jim's family and its really nice what his mum said to Sam. I hope she is very happy. Its just a shame some of her friends couldnt be happy for her.

They said this morning on tv about how there are players there at hawthorn who are being paid way under what other clubs would pay them for. Said Frawley had huge offers to go to other clubs but he wanted a premiership which is why he chose the hawks.

Being there yesterday and watching how the hawks play was just amazing. The way they structure up, defend and help each other out is great. There isnt over use of hand balling, hand balling to a stationary player when an opponent is right on him, blazing away and fumbling. They all do there job and to watch Cyril set up that win in the first quarter and at the beginning of the 2nd reminded me of all the exciting things the Whiz used to do. Clarko has proven that you dont need to be a superstar player to be a great coach. He was never a great player, but a player who just gave everything but geez is a brilliant tactical coach. also the hawks have travlled twice to perth to get to the GF. Never seen Priddis play so badly and Nic Nat well he gave nothing. His tap outs didnt really work. Hawthorn just read them and Hale and McEvoy just beat him around the ground. One day I hope to see the same excitement and Jonsey up there on the stage with the cup.

I went to the game yesterday and Chip did a great job on Kennedy. Kennedy is the coleman medalist and the key to the eagles. he has been in a great form. and to be held goalless was a great effort. All being West Coast didnt deliver the ball all that well. Someone said a stat on radio yesterday. Chip played in 12 wins this season. It took him 4 seasons to do that at melbourne. Chip copped it big time 3 weeks ago and he bounced back playing beautifully on walker and against freo last week. He went to a club that knows about success. With 10 minutes to go yesterday when he was looking around the ground quietly celebrating he was told go focus back on his job. Thats how professional the hawks are. He wakes up this morning as a premiership player. Good one him.

Well the way he has been playing id say 350-400. Id rather have extra money to pay Hogan on a long term contract

Yeah I been flicking between that and classified. It is interesting to hear what different captains say on game days. Havent seen much of Jones but what they did show was good. Interesting to hear Jobe say he probably was to young to get the captaincy. I can now understand why players step down from being part of the leadership group. Lots of extra meetings and other stuff they have to sit through. Also how cotchin and tex felt nervous leading up to before r1 when all the captains got together for there media day.

Its hard to believe tappy was taken before fyfe.

I agree. Isnt your aim as a footy player to win a premiership? Hawthorn needed a defender identified Frawley and he accepted. Lets face it, it wouldnt have been happy times when he was there. Do u think Lake regrets leaving the dogs. Hell no. I bet if it was Sylvia playing next week for a medal there would be more outrage because id tell you right now he would not be deserving as one. Frawley had to play in that backline when the ball just kept getting pumped back in there. It wouldn't have been fun times. Good luck to him.

I think I would have felt more sick in the guts if it was sylvia playing for a premiership next week instead of frawley. At least Frawley played good footy for us. But you have to admire clarko and how good a coach he is. He lost his right hand man in bolton, his other coach is still grieving for his son. Maybe its our ex players that are geniuses in YZE, Bruce and Neitz. They are all playing there role down there.

Not sure why people are going on about frawley. Sure I was annoyed when he left, but thats what FA is all about about. Players choosing to leave to get a better opportunity. Brian Lake is now going for his 3rd successive premiership. Now Chip is going to play in his first ever GF. Good on him, his ex teammates will be very jealous and wish it was them. I dont blame chip. This is why people never rated Freo. They just cant score goals. They would be the only team to finish 2 games clear on top and come into a prelim fresh after a week off and not go in as favourites. I think Ross has a few questions to answer.
