If Gawn does play forward, Blease/Bail/JKH/Byrnes will have a big job trying to keep the ball in the 50. St. Kilda's backline are good at rebounding and Gawn will be a liability if the others don't work their asses off.

Stanley, Lee and/or resting ruckman to worry about as well, possibly.

Imagine if the Hawthorn game was first, Geelong second and Richmond third. I don't think the most recent performance should represent our entire preseason campaign.

Practice Match - Melbourne v Hawthorn @ Casey Fields
Brayshaw Self replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm hoping the players were just really tired from playing in Alice Springs........... -
St. Kilda have an average backline anyway. If we manage to get on top in the midfield and get enough inside 50s, we should be fine. Who knows, maybe Georgiou will swing forward and kick a bag.

NAB Challenge 2 - Melbourne v Geelong

Alexis Georgiou 100% disposal efficiency. Awkward but effective -
I would have liked Michael Evans to have paid more attention to what Roosy was saying haha

Good Evans for the Tridents League

Wouldn't be surprised if we take Patrick Cripps. All Australian 192cm midfielder (Roos suggested we need taller mids) Ready to go Compares himself to Ollie Wines Comes across well in his interview below People suggesting we are certain the player we want will be there at pick 9

Training - Friday 8th November, 2013
Brayshaw Self replied to Demon Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Last year we had ONE midfielder that would make a top 8 side's starting 3 in the middle. Only an injury will stop Michie making our list of 8-10 midfield rotations for round one. -
I wouldn't be surprised if Roos tries to get Jack Watts to emulate Nat Fyfe's style of play. Similar attributes, but Watts is a better kick. If Watts develops the hunger........
-
Wouldn't mind the Kolodjashnij twins

Matt Jones offers more than Trengove at the moment, in my opinion. He has speed, unlike 3/4 of our mids and can hit a target. You can't play 10 bullocking mids in a team and leave out the runners.
-
Well worth the risk if he's available at our pick. Getting him out of his home environment will help to keep him on the straight and narrow and not too many kids would misbehave when they have Chris Dawes, Mitch Clark, Nathan Jones and Daniel Cross to answer to. He could be the final piece in our forwardline.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DANIEL CROSS

Now to watch Taggert, Evans, Toumpas and Trengove develop properly. -
1. I'm not on drugs. How dare you. 2. I couldn't give two sh1ts what you have previously 'overstated' (check the dictionary on that one, buddy.)

Doesn't really make a difference and someone had already mentioned it was last year.

Competition for spots is never a bad thing, especially when it costs nothing.

CHF or CHB, Ben? I agree with everything else though.
-
I don't think Toumpas has the defensive capabilities to play in the backline at this stage. Frawley CHF is a typo I assume? Terlich will play 22 games in the backline if uninjured I believe and Matt Jones will be in over Taggert. If Taggert does get a game it will be at Kent/Blease's expense.

Luke Dunstan maybe?
