I would take anyone back except $cully but he's done. For free (or close to) as a backup yes, but not for any serious price. Screamers massively overrated considering most were turned over immediately or came when we were 82 points down.

In 2017 we had it in the second and fourth quarters - Q2, kicked 6.5 to 2.0, came into the last quarter six points down, kicked 2.4 to 2.2 and lost by four. Classic Melbourne.

After about two years off I gave SEN another try now that we're good. There's about 30 minutes of ads an hour and the other 30 is almost worse. Maher/Murphy would be alright as a frivolous 12-4 show but it's a disaster of a drive-time program. They need to get over the formula of duos in the afternoon and find somebody with a good balance of serious and light hearted who can handle the shift solo.

Might do an Essendon fan and complain that the game wasn't moved somewhere more people could see it.

Anyone have a full list of the goalkickers? Piecing it together from Casey's tweets (because why would you just do something so simple as list them in the match report?) the first three quarters was Daw 2, Brayshaw 1, Pickett 1, Bedford 1, Munro 1, vandenBerg 1, Josh Smith 1, Gay 1 Then our 'all the goals' video only shows two of the four last quarter goals. One to Daw (and he must get another to get to four), plus one to #65 and one not shown. Anyone know who a) #65 was and b) who kicked the other goal?

I don't agree with this rule but I can live with it. Not having it in place two days before the season starts is farcical. How can this not have been addressed earlier in the off-season, did somebody read a book about concussion last week and think "christ, we better do something"?

australianfootball.com is an up and coming site, and if I wasn't so familiar with AFL Tables I'd almost prefer it. If somebody went through and added match reports from newspapers to the games that would be fantastic, but speaking from experience it's a monster task. 10 years on and there are still some old games with newspaper reports available that I haven't gotten to. Can't imagine how painful it would be to do with 1897 (even 1858) onwards.

Considering the amount of unforseen historical content the AFL has (clearance reports, reserves and Under 19s player information etc...) they could create an amazing historical resource like AFL Tables or AustralianFootball.com if they wanted to. Maybe they could sign up with Ancestry.com or similar to help deliver it. I said this in the survey but I think they're more interested in whether to put show 50s higher in an earlier column than rebound 50s.

Hope he goes well but don't know if there's much there beyond what we've already seen. However, like Daw if you need to plug a gap you may as well pick somebody who's used to the system. Don't fancy their chances if he's a regular but could be a handy fringe player.

Brutal draw. I suppose they decided that because we've played Richmond and Gold Coast we don't get the byes against Geelong and West Coast as well. Given that we have zero depth I reckon it's lights out unless we beat the Saints and win at least one of the others. North has a reasonably tough run too. Their game against Footscray could prove important. Given that the Dogs have the free win against Richmond in the last round we probably want them to win so we can concentrate on jumping the Roos into eighth.
