  1. apparently there is a dodgy builder by the name of Perth Weather
  2. Watts just has to play seniors even if he is not carrying his weight. Going to Casey won't do him any favours.
  3. yes I'd give Gysberts back to Carlton for him
  4. we used pick 14 or something to get Moloney from the Cats
  5. yeah but apparently these days it is more important to cater to your everybody loves raymond re-runs or whatever reason was given (or not given) for our game agianst GC to be delayed half an hour
  6. BS inferiority complex garbage What's so good about Watson, he plays for a 'big' club and has a famous name, therefore is glorified by the media that's what
  7. so you get a minor injury and miss round 1, you're still considered underdone 4 weeks later? no excuses now he should be at his best IMO
  8. yeah I rate it, at the end of this weekend it will have been an 11 day period with footy on 9 of those days, wish it was like that al the time
  9. the first 50: just awful second 50: pretty, pretty, pretty good
  10. not to mention those blokes are chronically overrated. If you play for collingwood and you are one of their best, you are revered as a legend of the sport by the arse-kissing media.. and Judd, I saw him make a mistake about 6 disposals in a row the other day, including really poor regulation passes being intercepted etc and nobody said anything. If it was Jack Watts playing like that they would be getting stuck right into him
  11. as bad as we were we still smashed them for a quarter, something that nobody seems to care about. They are currently ranked second in premiership odds but we were all over them in parts
  12. hell of a coincidence they happen to be our four top4 draft picks plus two first rounders who have come on strongly rookie listers not welcome?
  13. I'm wondering how the group was put together Jordie and Jurrah would have to be a bit stiff not to get a guernsey? Done a bit more than Watts has at this stage? The older blokes not interested in a possible career in the media? Looks like a good initiative though, anything we can do to go anywhere near matching what the big clubs can offer our boys. Fingers crossed.
  14. Depends on expectations right now, winning by 90 points and being 7th on the ladder isn't good enough for most, so Bailey will inevitably be sacrificed sooner rather than later, to appease the impatients
  15. simply a matter of him being the 22nd best player available on the day
  16. Really looking forward to it Might even attend the match just to laugh at them
  17. 16 games with him - 6w-10l without him - 2w-3l and a draw
  18. the club and Lynch are expected to discuss the Scully situation in the coming days the club and Lynch are expected to discuss the Scully situation in the coming days the club and Lynch are expected to discuss the Scully situation in the coming days yeah I saw it
  19. Tapscott and Gysberts wouldn't be playing if those two were still there
  20. hhah the guy that's leaning his head over to look past the person in front, yeah I thought that was you
  21. As stated above, we're simply not playing our best at the moment. The main problem is that we seem to lull for about quarter of a match. At other times we have soundly beat each side we've played. With some consistency and momentum we will fix this. It is what we all know this comes with a young side, which we still are, despite what some seem to think. Don't think they aren't working on it. A big group of players are playing well below their best. By and large, they will improve. My top 8 for the side that actually threatens is Grimes, Trengove, Scully, McKenzie, Jurrah, Watts, Frawley and Morton. Of those 8 players only Trengove and Jurrah have delivered signifigantly and we all know that we will get much more from that group not just later this year but well beyond. Others like Green, Sylvia and Davey are currently our best players and we all know they can lift a gear. As discussed elsewhere, we have some tactical issues to work around. This is part of the game and its not just on the coaches but on the players to be able to implement. Don't forget Bailey is a developing coach also. It is still on the cards to be looking at 5.5 wins 1.5 losses
  22. OK from now on no posting about anything unless you have travelled to the future and can be certain what you are saying is fact
  23. it is if you take the club at their word thet they are putting general development before necessarily winning the game. As many others have said, how do we know to what extent there is a plan vs the kids' inability to execute it? ps wasn't giving the ball to Tapscott from a kick-in and getting him to play on and boot as far down the middle of the ground as far as he could an attempt to combat the defensive press? Maybe not all that effective but does it indicate being caught off gaurd as you suggest?
