facts of the matter are we have been 'on' for 50% of the time over the last 2 weeks, not 'one good quarter for the year' as so many have said.. obviously our big challenge is to be 'on' for 4 quarters and then we should be going very nicely. Things aren't great but I don't see why people have to totally bend the truth to try to make a point, especially when that point is a negative one

perhaps its because we lost 3 by 100 and were every chance to lose again that didn't happen and in fact we played a qtr of pure domination this proved we have at least some ticker and not a list of total duds you think maybe that's why?

when the media applauds certain individuals it is done largely to kiss the arses of clubs with the most supporters. These clubs are by no coincidence the same ones that get the prime time fixturing and generally win a lot. If you happen to play for one of these teams your reputation is a lot larger than what it is you play for Melbourne or another minnow club. This is why a player like Hurley gets talked about as if he is Wayne Carey. It's also why you have Bruce McAveney swooning over 'Stevie J' , (who incidentally is a complete toss bag of a bloke) why does he have that pet name, can we please have our own Nathy J?. I would like to see Joel Free Kick Selwood lead the comp in centre clearances at Melbourne and we'd see if your average Joe rates him so highly, not a chance in hell... /end rant

i cannot figure out what could possibly be being said between Jack and his coaches it is so obvious he is lazy and soft, surely his coaches have called him out on this a number of times and told him to address it. Clearly JW is aware of how the footy world perceives him. He has even had a week off to think about it. Why in the name of God does he come out and do it again and again, and then what does the next conversation sound like.. you would think he would be going out of his way to get poleaxed just to show he is not a softwilly.. it's just bizarre

Evans: hadn't seen anything in him until today, he was superb.. same goes for Tapscott, apart from the two shocking shots on goal. Byrnes was excellent too.. MJones, Terlich, big maxy, Bail even Pedo did a few quality things.. there is nothing more pleasing than seeing these second shelf types prove themselves I can't believe people aren't more pumped, 12 goals in a quarter without Clark and Dawes, dodgy video reviews, dogy ump calls, some shocking luck (eg the ball bouncing striaght over tommy mac to setanta) some stupid frees/50s against Clark and Jetta, we should have won by considerably more than 41. We also conceded 5 goals in 12 minutes in the second when they completely lost focus.. but they got it back big time. Playing what is likely to be another winless side next week, let's all stop wallowing and get fired up
