The photography may have started out as a hobby but it has become much more than that. Selling prints, tutorials, a web-page (other than a Facebook Page), an escalating interest and investment in more and better equipment and so on. The Photography Bug can bite hard and I speak from experience.

He's in the market apparently for a Contax 645 (medium format film - 2nd hand, only $3000-4000) and he is doing his own D&P. Also he's offering limited-placement 3 hour tutorials for $300. I'd rather he spent three hours in the gym earning a quid.
