  1. Agree on Trac, Oliver can go
  2. It's always closed now, they used to open it on days with no rain forecast but the shadows from the roof/stands played havoc on TV so it's always closed now.
  3. There is?? Shows me how much attention I pay 😂 Actually that's my one major hate for Docklands, the amount of empty seats on level 2 and they want to charge an arm and a leg to sit there. It's ridiculous, AFL members should have some walkup access to level 2 especially now the AFL owns the stadium.
  4. I'd also like to know whether it is usual across the league. Perhaps it is something that happens a lot we just don't know about it but it doesn't feel like it passes the pub test. What are the benefits to being on the MFC board to a non-MFC member? Access to the top end of town? MCC?
  5. It's not bad, easy to get to and seats are pretty good no matter where you are. I hate being indoors on a sunny day and nothing will beat the G but it's not bad as an alternative venue. I presume a large part of the hate from Melbourne supporters comes from the MCC members who don't have the same access or facilities at Docklands.
  6. It shows how loyal our supporters are, I genuinely thought we'd struggle to get 10k there today considering our supporters disdain for the venue and the form of the team.
  7. You can enjoy what you want 🤷
  8. Not only that, you couldn't look at today's game and have any confidence in our gameplan or ball movement. We didn't look to play aggressively through the corridor, kept bombing down the line and playing around the wings. We smashed them through experience and talent, not because of our gameplan. All year we've been hearing about this new gameplan, today was the day you'd expect to see it but there was nothing. Some forward handballs out of congestion but no different to what we were doing in previous years and hardly revolutionary.
  9. The number of times they turned it over inside our forward 50 under no pressure was astonishing, would have to be a record. Topped off with the kick straight to Trac, he must've thought all his Christmases had come at once. West Coast were truly abysmal which you love to see. They can rot at the bottom of the ladder for years for all I care, they've been as much a thorn in my football life as the Hawks - will never forgive them for 1990, 91, 94 or 2018.
  10. Put a two year extension in front of Goodwin you reckon?
  11. Demolition job of a team that would struggle against park footballers. Langford and Windsor looked good, Rivers and Turner were good in defence. Happy for Culley who took his chances. Fritsch had a pretty good game and Max was Max. Hard to take much out of it, the Eagles were pathetic and we weren't much better for a bit more than half the game. The third quarter was fun though, don't get many 10 goal quarters.
  12. Well done Jai, the boyhood dream has come true!
  13. I'm watching today to see signs of our new gameplan. What is our ball movement like, what is our forward structure like, are we looking to use the corridor etc Not seeing much different from our previous gameplan to be honest.
  14. Melksham Kozzie Langford and Gawn Gawns efforts for a guy 208cm tall cannot be spoken of highly enough, he is an absolute legend. His game last week including two smothers in defence was overlooked because of the debacle in the last quarter but he was Herculean.
  15. This game should've been in Alice and Saints at the G West Coast are VFL level, we should be up by at least 5 goals already they just keep giving it to us and we can't take advantage. I can't overstate how bad the Eagles are. Any other team and we'd be in trouble.
  16. Hopefully we continue with Windsor on the ball and give time in the centre to Rivers, Langford and McVee as well. Petty to defense and Turner up forward. Not holding my breath. Only thing worth watching today is whether Kozzie goes berserk. Eagles have only won one game for the year, if we don't put them away they will sniff a win and go balls out while we will panic and keep it close.
  17. I asked my son if he wanted to go today after we went last week. He didn't even think twice "no way!"
  18. Things I learnt from the article Richardson is contracted to end of next year Shand was at Monday's Board meeting Pettyfor, appointed as Comms Executive, is taking up a dual role as head of football for AFLW including list management. The previous incumbent in that role also took up a role in the AFL FD Williams is one of the highest paid development coaches in the league Williams and Griffiths are out of contract at end of season Our media boss was in charge of babysitting Clarry over 23/24 summer when he went off the rails. During that period Oliver was "undergoing direct and regular intervention from the AFL’s mental health team, league chiefs, AFLPA bosses and Pert."
  19. Nothing I presume. We were told he was going to continue consulting on Caulfield but seems to have been quietly shunted off as recent articles about Caulfield have mentioned. It's damning on the people in charge of the governance of the club that it has come to this. Some of the things pointed out in the article are farcical. A comms director put in charge of football decisions? A CEO applicant told no but then asked to keep the seat warm all year? A CEO appointed but can't start for 6 months? I know there have been apologists on here that say it's usual for CEO's to have lengthy notice periods but this is not the case. Organisations don't want CEO's hanging around once they've made the decision to leave. If it were usual then other clubs would have similar issues and it wouldn't be unusual for us to have to wait an entire season for the new CEO to commence. Also why was Shand at Monday's Board meeting? That seems highly unusual. Williams one of the most highly paid development coaches in the league. Richo still contracted til end of next season. 🙄
  20. What should happen is if a player is contracted the club owns his contract and can trade him to another club without his consent. Free agency is the trade off.
  21. Surely anyone who turns up to this just gets waved through
  22. And yet Petty continues getting gifted games despite offering nothing.
  23. Thats the most mind numbingly frustrating thing. Losing is bad enough, losing the same way over and over with the same players in the same positions, no throwing around magnets, no young players getting stretches if games etc It's demoralising and it's boring as hell.
  24. Access to cheaper finals tickets too
  25. A 19 year old who hit the scoreboard for the first time last week kicking 2 goals (another chance went begging). Why rest him now with 4 games left? The time to rest him was probably a month ago.
