That's surprising I didn't notice him all that much but was sitting on the southern stand wing so may have missed a bit of the in and under stuff he did on the northern side.

I thought Stretch was poor, hasn't done much since coming in to the side. Kent also, he just didn't use it well enough. Those two will probably be out when Watts/Salem return. Petracca pretty quiet too, but you can excuse that given his season to date. Good win, one where you're just happy to bank the points. But the Blues were 2 players down before half time (incl Cripps) and we only just snuck it in. Handy 4 points in the overall scheme of things, we need to ride out the next month, hopefully pinch a game against the Roos and then come home with a wet sail with a full squad.

Agreed they've been very good this year beating GWS and pushing the Crows. They have a great structure and are well coaches, I think we should be going in underdogs unless we have a couple of players coming back in.

Combined with the players we have out it was always gonna be an uphill battle tonight. Hope they can regroup and respond next week, 8 day break to the blues game, but if we lose Viney and Bugg is definitely gone not sure who comes in. They said earlier Watts is likely out for another 2 weeks.

Just a couple too many nqrs has hurt us. Bugg, ANB, Stretch, Wagner, White, Harmes. You can afford 2 or 3 of these guys but not 6.

Not only that but once the "GF guarantee" packages sell out, there will only be a handful of tickets left over for the rest of the membership base to go into a ballot for GF tickets should the Demons make it. Finals/GF ticket access is the main reason I switched back to AFL Membership a couple of years back.

I agree with your first point but not your second. You take your chances when they come and we are right into this season up to our necks. Who knows what happens next year, this year we have a team that can win it all.

Problem is they wouldn't be. At least one and most likely both would be scheduled at Docklands. We'd also then have at least one and most likely two more interstate trips. So it's swings and roundabouts for me. Only issue I have is no bye after the Darwin game. Frankly it's downright idiotic that this isn't the case. I can't fathom why it wouldn't be.
