  1. He has to be in contention for coach of the year. Those talking up Hardwick won't be when Tiges go out of finals in straight sets again.
  2. Kept his feet was the most important thing. Worked his way back into form in the 2nd half last week, continued on with it yesterday. Great to see.
  3. King loves us, good to hear a commentator in our corner for a change. Hudson on the other hand...
  4. Gawn rolled his ankle apparently, was off for much of the 2nd half.
  5. Yikes that's not good. Did Melbourne supporters just assume we're playing Sunday??
  6. What's the crowd like - looks terrible on tv but as we know the Melbourne supporters are located more in the northern stand than the southern
  7. Yep pressure is the key.
  8. Their win against West Coast 2 weeks ago probably their best for the year.
  9. We did that against the Dogs. Need to replicate it today.
  10. I can see that point of view but I think these things have to be done hand in hand. Recognition and symbolism are an important part of it - obviously it means nothing if real progress isn't made though as you've rightfully pointed out. It's not all about responsibility by indigenous communities - the broader community and the government that has a mandate to care for ALL its constituents needs to take up its own slack as well, of which there has been much since colonisation. Domestic violence is an issue, so is access to decent facilities and resources (eg medical care). Most of the issues you've raised are not inherent to indigenous communities, they're inherent to poverty stricken communities regardless of race or creed.
  11. Are you talking about the MFC in particular or Australia in general? Because if it's the former I agree but if it's the latter I don't know what planet you've been living on.
  12. I don't have an issue with it.
  13. Yep that Frost one [censored] me too. Also in the 3rd when we were streaming forward, Oliver was on his own 35 metres out but we instead went wide to Garletts who tried a banana from the boundary.
  14. They smashed us in the middle in the first quarter and were 7 goals to 1 at 1/4 time. After that was pretty much even we'd get back to within 4 goals then they'd take it back out to 40 points. Very fumbly and our players just could not adjust to the conditions. The ball bounced their way from the first as well. Hogan, Kent and Pedersen all missed set shots from about 15m out on slight angles too which didn't help. Frost and Pedersen were poor and TMac couldn't get into it. Hogan was poor early dropping marks but worked his way into some form in the 2nd half. Still couldn't impact the scoreboard though. We desperately missed Viney, Jones, Tyson, Salem and Watts for some grunt and class. Oscar was very good, saved about 3 or 4 goals. We continually let them out the back on the rebound though and luckily they didn't capitalise as much as they could have. All in all I understand why we play in Darwin and it would probably have been the same result at the G but it's frustrating watching players slipping and fumbling and unable to play clean footy due to the conditions up there. Seasons not over though, we get some of our injured players back in the next few weeks and we'll be challenging for 5th/6th. Most disappointing thing was losing some percentage.
  15. No the Crows are equal 10th. Swans, Port and the Dogs rank ahead of us, Cats and Tigers equal with us
  16. Is this the biggest game Darwin's ever seen?
  17. That's massive for the Cats. We should be somewhere around where these clubs are, around the 50k mark. Hopefully some success will get us there
  18. Any idea what cats and blues numbers are?
  19. I'm 35, sisters 32, brothers 26, kids are 2 & 4 all Demon lunatics
  20. Sporting Globe
  21. If he didn't leave in the last 2 years can't see him leaving now
  22. These guys must lose their [censored] when the QB takes a knee in the NFL.
