  1. That's what we were saying too
  2. Bowling shoe ugly as JR used to say (for you WWF fans)
  3. The game should have been all but iced at quarter time. Great to get the win but [censored] me this team can make you pull your hair out. How have our skills dropped so markedly in 6 months. We were never the most skilled side but this is another level. Why does TMac attempt marks with flat palms? Why does Omac continually fresh air spoils?
  4. Occam's razor says we should be based at the G
  5. I've always wondered whether we would've continued dominating if Barassi had stayed on to coach - or would things still have played out similar to the way they did and Barassi would not be the supercoach he is known as today.
  6. I agree with you although the Bulldogs flag is always in the back of the mind - all you have to do is make finals and then prepare yourselves for 4 weeks of blitzkrieg footy. Won't happen for us this year though. 2020 we will bounce back as long as we focus now on getting our players fit for round 1 2020 and we attack the draft with at least 3 or 4 guys with pace and skill who can slot in (a la Duursma, Rozee, Butters at Port)
  7. It took me until the Essendon game but really even before round 1 I had this feeling things were not going to go well for us this year. I had us as flag contenders up until a couple of weeks before the season. The Brisbane pre-season game was a bad sign. I just thought a lot of other teams had made significant improvements whereas we had gone backwards if anything losing Hogan and relying on Weid too much. Anyway I'm viewing this year as one long pre-season for 2020. If things don't turn next year I'll start questioning my life choices.
  8. Nobody except our hopes and dreams ?
  9. Finals? Haha, we'll have a top 3 draft pick this year.
  10. We actually tried to lower our eyes on Wednesday but so many times our passes were cut off by Tigers players. Not sure if they just read the play well or we were choosing the wrong options. Then there were the multiple kicks straight to a Tiger player all on their own in our F50.
  11. You sure about that? Last 8 weeks of the year include games against the Tigers, Pies, Eagles, Saints, Swans again and North in Tassie.
  12. Good will make it easier to get my finals tickets
  13. Before yesterday 3 of the last 6 games were decided by over 40 points (one by 69 points) the others were all over 3 goals. Nice try.
  14. Next on the chopping block are the customer service reps in the membership department and the retail staff at the Demon Shop.
  15. When did it happen?
  16. If you honestly think that we might as well pack it in. This is a ruthless comp, nothing should be given up easily because once it is you never get it back. Just look at us with the MCG. I get people can't make every game. I get people may prefer to sit at home on a week night even with a day off the next day. But as supporters we need to support the club ESPECIALLY with these marquee games (ANZAC Eve and Queens Birthday). If you only get to two games for the year make it these ones even when we are the away team. There were plenty of vacant seats on the upper deck of the MCC last night where the MFC supporters have been in years past.
  17. It also sends a message to the AFL that we should be relegated to Sunday twilight games.
  18. 2016 Essendon players were suspended they had a VFL team. They lost by 70 points, still got 85k to that game.
  19. I don't accept it. But I was still there to support them. Fact is if we want these marquee games we have to turn up and show we deserve them. Otherwise we can't complain if they get given to other teams.
  20. Fine. Then don't complain that we never get marquee games, have no money etc I wouldn't call last night "rubbish". We tailed off and were overrun but definitely played with intent and were in the game for 3 quarters. You either support the club or you don't. Essendon and Collingwood supporters turn up every Anzac Day regardless of form, why do they turn up to watch the rubbish they dish up on those occasions? Because they support the club. Melbourne supporters? Soft.
  21. Those who don't turn up are probably the same ones who continually complain about the club having a soft underbelly the minute things get a bit hard.
