  1. Roaming CHF is his go and I think this year he'll prove why he's been so highly rated. Combine that with TMac leading out from the goalsquare and Garlett and Petracca and our forward line looks like a strength for the first time since Neitz retired.
  2. My wife supports the Pats for no other reason than she recognised Brady when I started watching ("he's married to Giselle"). She loves her football as well though not as fanatical as me. She's seen 2 Superbowl wins with probably a 3rd next week. She's also seen 3 Cats flags after adopting them shortly after coming to Australia in 2001. I'm still hoping the worm will turn and I'll see some success..... someday
  3. That's the only reason they're doing it, in some vain attempt to export the game. They should stick to consolidating the northern states before thinking about expanding into Asia. The other reason I think is to have a summer comp to help them in their desire for year round media coverage. I get what you're saying about the style of play but that could also be achieved playing on a normal oval with say 12 a side. Whatever this game is, it's not footy. It's not even a modified version, it's a completely bastardised version. Hit and giggle? Yeah sure whatever if they wanna do it in preseason knock yourselves out. But try and implement these changes in the season proper and people will turn away in droves.
  4. I don't understand why anyone listens to the radio anymore. Terrible music, non stop adverts and banal or far right hosts. Podcasts and iPod for music for me.
  5. Collingwood? Hawthorn in 2015?
  6. Anyone able to confirm whether the "top 4" bet is for end of H&A or end of finals? Eg Bulldogs finished 7th in 2016 then won the flag, if you had them for top 4 would you get the win? I assume not but it doesn't seem right.
  7. Pretty sure he was in the pics on the link posted earlier in the thread.
  8. Those are brilliant seats, can't wait to head over and catch a game one day. Never had an interest in going to the States until I got into the NFL about 8 or 9 years ago. Unfortunately I jumped on the Jets who have been putrid ever since I adopted them after their playoff win in Foxboro.
  9. By the way Sportsbet has us $1.90 to make the 8 and $4 for top 4 but still $13 for the flag
  10. I'm chucking on a hundred for premiers. Worth a punt
  11. We wore our traditional colours in 2013. Shannon Byrnes, Tom Gillies, David Rodan, Tom Couch; Dean Terlich and Matt Jones finishing top 5 in the Bluey. Mark Neeld's twitchy eye. Those were the days.
  12. Wow How'd you score tickets to the wildcard game? That would've been a great game to be at, divisional rivals and went down to the wire.
  13. People at work? Tradies? Not sure why they wouldn't just get the rights to a US stream
  14. Haha I meant that I place Australian football first because I grew up with it.
  15. Gerard whately is going to call the Superbowl for SEN. US football is easily the second the best sport in the world running a very close second to Australian football and that's probably just down to my own biases. It is the most strategic game bar none and there is an infinite number of things to dissect and talk about. Not sure the average Australian audience/SEN listener will care though.
  16. Geez you're just a ray of sunshine today aren't ya?
  17. Hell's Bells seems to work well but could always go for some Sabbath or Led Zep
  18. You shouldn't do that!
  19. Recency bias? They haven't seen the injured players for 6-12 months and not since they were 17 or 16 years old whereas the rest of the draft class are scrutinised for the year and "marked up" rather than the injured players being marked down.
  20. I hope this dies a quick and painless death, what a debacle. I hope we are fielding 34-43 on the list including rookies.
  21. It's not just Hawkins, the big forwards always kill us. Daniher, Ben Brown, Grundy in r23, Roughead and the other bloke in the 23 for the Hawks who killed us this year (edit - O'Brien), Franklin who usually does a number on us. I guess they're hoping OMac and/or Frost will come on in leaps and bounds this year and have faith that our midfield strength and zone defence will do the trick. We will still be vulnerable to the "one out" or get out long bomb to the big forwards though.
  22. I would've thought they'd switch it back to a Saturday as soon as they realised their mistake. So this hasn't been changed?
  23. Devil's advocate- he wouldn't need to play a tag in our midfield so would get more space
  24. Haha, no, but the thread he created didn't go well
