The common denominator during all those years was losing winnable games which cost us double chances etc. Same thing happened in 2004-2006 as well. 2006 we lost twice to Carlton who won 3 games for the whole year
-
We beat Essendon west coast and Hawthorn twice each in 1990. Had knocked the Pies out of the finals in 1988 and 1989. 1990 was the one that got away.

You've got to be kidding

"Last month the Andrews government announced the next round of gaming licences in 2022 would be granted for 20 years, double the current agreement, and also moved to allow clubs to double the number of pokies they operated in their group to 840, allowing AFL clubs to increase their market share." That's the only part of the article that is relevant. When the AFL stops accepting money from betting agencies and Crown and stops the incessant gambling talk on its broadcasts and at grounds and when they create a fair and equitable competition then maybe we'll listen. Until then they can get stuffed.

No White for MFC Clash Jumpers for Season 2018
Dr. Gonzo replied to Rodney (Balls) Grinter's topic in Melbourne Demons
AFL told us years ago red is a "dark" colour and we need a jumper with predominantly "light" colour. However Essendons clash jumper is an inverted version of their normal jumper so not sure why ours couldn't be the same. -
Jesus Christ this thread is depressing. Smell the roses boys and girls, the flag is ours for the taking next year

2004 I think - last win in Perth before this year!
-
Last ever game at Princes Park, not a great game but it was great to spoil the party for them. We were up by 10 goals at 3/4 time, ended up winning by about 20 points I think.

Essendon do, we should be able to as well

You're an idiot if you don't think the bigger clubs are already do the same thing. Look at how the "equalisation" discussion was hijacked a couple of years ago and who was on the working group for that.
-
Hard to when you're handicapped by the AFL (not just MFC, all the traditionally smaller clubs)
-
I've said for a few years now that the smaller clubs should get together as a bloc - even included some non-Vic clubs who get routinely shafted as well.

Fixturing shouldn't be a tool for the AFL to punish/reward. If it is, why do Carlton get looked after? It's a joke.

1 friday night game against Port in Adelaide - absolute BS

All except 3 obviously, derrrr

Compensation, not assistance. You shouldn't have to "earn" your draw each team should be given equal access to timeslots, opponents etc

According to papers our double ups are Crows (one game in NT), Cats, Saints, Dogs and Suns. Not the worst, would've preferred one of Bombers or Blues instead of Dogs but otherwise can't complain. We'll be back to Hicksville again though, I wonder how much interstate games we'll have. We've generally been pretty looked after in this regard where our two NT games count towards 5/6 interstate games hopefully that stays the same. Looking for some more primetime expose, less Sunday afternoon games and playing at least one of Bombers/Blues at home, though with our ANZAC eve and queens bday home games that's unlikely. Currently we have locked in home games against Crows, Cats, Saints, Dogs, Suns, Dockers, Pies & Tigers - leaves room for 3 more, I'm tipping Port, GWS and North.

Darwin game will be Sat night so you should be able to figure it out if you have a calendar and few spare minutes handy

Yes but having him contracted means we hold the upper hand in deciding whether he stays or not
