  1. Good on him, must be on cloud nine after the last 4 months thinking how good is this?!
  2. That would be immense if true
  3. I gave this a vomit emoji not for the content but because just reading about all that running caused my stomach to heave.
  4. He has the potential to be one of the top players in the comp in a couple of years, it would be madness on his part to sign a long term deal at his age despite how much I'd love to see it. I'd be happy with a couple of year extension for him and a long term deal for Clarry.
  5. And the record is 6-1 our way (the one being in 1958)
  6. The 88 Semi Final is the first final I remember going to (not sure if dad took me to the 87 EF/SF) and it is etched in my memory for all time. Beautiful sunny day, punch on before the first bounce, Garry Lyon kicking a nice goal from the southern stand pocket at the punt road end and we ended the Pies finals run. Watched the replay so often as a kid I wore out the tape.
  7. That's what I thought which is a shame. The ckub would've made a mint yesterday if they had merch to sell but I understand they're still waiting on most items to be restocked.
  8. I went to grab a beer at 3/4 time and the queue on level 1 (GA section) was too long. So I ran upstairs and went into the bar on level 2 which was instant service and a perfect view of the G.
  9. My kids are taught Japanese in primary school and told me about this tradition today, I thought they were pulling my leg! I know its traditional for Jewish people to eat Chinese food on Xmas day in the US but KFC on Xmas day in Japan (a country which I assume doesn't even celebrate Xmas) is another thing entirely.
  10. Does the club get the money for sales from the MCG shop? I hope so because that place was packed
  11. Unless it was torn off the bone requiring surgery it should've healed itself helped along with some rehab/physio I assume
  12. was the initial forecast for a $4m loss this year? I remember hearing we would be $8m worse off ($4m/year) over 2020/2021 due to covid but not sure if that was a $4m loss or just $4m lost revenue. Either way a $2m profit is huge.
  13. Dockers are OK, Eagles can GAGF
  14. Ah ok that sucks must have missed it! My mother in law wants a membership for next year so it would've been good to sign her up for that much.
  15. I'm taking my kids even if they have to miss school the next day.
  16. Where is it $60? Just checked the membership website and a 3 game membership is $112.
  17. Was Hassa and Barry Bourke I think
  18. I timed my run beautifully, got to my seat a minute or so before Gus took the mark and put us in front. Had great seats down near the boundary and the club did a great job getting the past players involved. Particularly loved seeing Junior McDonald there, Schwarta, Wiz, Neitz, Febey (not sure which one?) and of course the Rev. Trav Johnstone looked like he was having a good day, I also saw Tingay, Newport, Green, Steve Smith, Strawbs O'Dwyer, Greg Healy and a bunch of others I've forgotten to mention. There was one player I couldn't pick though, was wearing number 9 in a late 90s/early 2000s iPrimus jumper which wouldve been the era Neitz wore it. Looked to young to be Alan Johnson so not sure who it was anyone have an idea? It was a really good day put on by the club, much better than I expected. I saw some kids towards the end of the replay getting a bit bored so was glad I left mine at home. Lots of talk around doing it again in 2022, going back to back etc let's hope the club can build off this and create a dynasty with this list.
  19. Why, so they can have Collingwood on Friday night? What a joke, Docklands is free on Saturday have us on Friday and move Pies/Saints to Saturday. Now we have a midweek game that will make it difficult for families and others with rigid working hours to attend. Seriously, [censored] the AFL.
  20. AFL memberships renewed the last couple of days so there's another few thousand. Plus hopefully a bunch of people sign up at the G on Sunday.
  21. I agree but I have a feeling there won't be much more than what is already there at the moment. Not the club's fault as they would be having difficulty getting manufacturing orders filled but disappointing they may not be able to capitalise on this to the extent they otherwise could. Already a massive windfall for them though, I'd be interested in the updated figures and hopefully they get a cut from the MCG shop/AFL stores.
  22. I went past the MCG shop to collect an order yesterday and they still had a decent amount of MFC premiership merch but had sold out of a number of items. Not many footy jumpers left except certain sizes from previous years which were on the discount rack, sold out of a few sizes of the kids mark knight tshirts etc. Apparently they sold a lot last week when the premiership cup was at the sports Museum hopefully the club gets a decent whack from that and it doesn't go straight to the AFL The Demon Shop is obviously running on funes with the merch that is left there and even the AFL store has sold out of lots of stuff. My wife even ordered some demons pyjamas and boxers for christmas presents for the kids and my brother (not sure from where maybe cotton on) and the order couldn't be fulfilled as they'd sold out of all except one of the pyjama sizes. Hopefully the club will be getting more merch in stock because they will make a killing even after Christmas and especially in the new year when we are back at the G round 1.
  23. Went past JB today and the shelf was stacked with the victory packs, dvds and blurays, a more magnificent sight I am yet to behold
  24. Yeah same I got the email yesterday too
  25. Off to the Suns, surely he comes back to us in 2 years when Maxy/Brown are probably looking at winding down.
