Didn't realise that about the DVDs vs blurays - it's disappointing that the victory pack doesn't have all finals games on bluray, I'd definitely pay for that but if the QF and PF are just DVD quality I probably won't bother. I'll just get the GF bluray and keep the copies I've converted to my hard drive for the rest of the season (better quality than the replays they have on Kayo which are compressed to the max and have significant ghosting/lagging).

Australia Post has basically ground to a halt the last month or so. I ordered a birthday gift for my wife on September 10 and ordered express post so it should have got here by the 14th at the latest - still hasn't been received. It's a postage thing and not the club so just be patient, it will be worth the wait!

Nah that's fair enough, I've got an appletv in the bedroom and just use the Android tv downstairs. I'm just a technology hoarder as you can probably guess, for most people who don't have a PS4 or xbox its unlikely they have a device to play discs anymore. A lot of DVDs these days come with a code for an online version tho I doubt these ones will

Pretty sure it's only the GF that is Bluray but would be happy to be proven wrong. $100 for a while season on Bluray seems very cheap.

I can't believe people don't have DVD players anymore! Not a games console you can use? A laptop with DVD drive? I've still got a VHS player hooked up to my tv so I can convert my old demon games from VHS to DVD to hard drive (working thru then slowly)

They usually sell the DVD on its own with the alternate commentaries though - I reckon the initial release doesn't have them because they are fast-tracked straight after the game My wife is a cats supporter and has the 2009 DVD with alternate commentaries as well as the Victory Pack.

That's weird, they always have the alternate commentaries! Surely not waiting to release on a later version

The GF DVD does have the alternate radio commentaries you can play select while watching the game. I think what @Dee man dee man meant was the 12 minute season highlights only had the channel 7 commentary

If anyone's seen the ESPN 30 for 30s I always thought Jim Stynes would make a great subject for one of those Amazon did the series last year but unfortunately don't think they continued it this season Essendon are about to release an 8 part doco series on the history of the club (through fox footy I think) to celebrate their 150th season Fox footy also did one on Richmond in 2013 called "the lost years" or something, they've done stand alones on the baby bombers, Adelaide's 97 flag and "keep North South" about the push to send north to the GC I love this kind of stuff and agree there should be one on the Norm Smith curse and it finally being shattered into 140 pieces last Saturday night
