  1. Yeah I was there too and I agree - the Roos also came out to play and were hitting us hard. Bottom team with nothing to lose after being smashed in the media for two weeks while we struggle to really get fired up to play against a bottom team. Despite that we won by 8 goals and would've been 12-15 goals had we not been so inaccurate (and they had not been as accurate). Anyone complaining needs their head read, we were never losing this. We are undefeated with the biggest percentage after 10 rounds. How often does this come round? Enjoy it for God's sake, this is the best period in my life as a Melbourne supporter and maybe it will be the best period I ever experience. I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
  2. CARN NARRM!!! GIVE EM HELL DEMONS!!!
  3. Demons win, Liberals lose please 🤞
  4. Bad enough we have to play at that [censored] every single year but then we get scheduled on a Thursday night?? Absolute joke 😡
  5. Maybe the liver, the kidney or even the colon
  6. Carey, Ablett Snr, Judd, Voss, Buckley just for starters. Dusty maybe the best big game player but I think those others have him covered for consistency and longevity.
  7. I'm fully confident the MRO would have a consistent approach regardless of who the offender was. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-news-2021-mro-decisions-questioned-michael-christian-dangerous-tackles-concussions-tom-hawkins-zaine-cordy-first-crack/news-story/b9e19954e783c4dc549074d53c659726
  8. There are definitely priority groups and I know that Richmond in 2017 prioritised members who had been members for longer periods of consecutive years.
  9. 😂 How the hell would he know?
  10. Chandler was lucky he didn't get rubbed out for a quarter of the season like ANB did a couple of years back.
  11. So then what is intentional? I get what you're saying and there may be a logic to it but it is wide open to manipulation without any accountability.
  12. Let's be honest the MRO went heavy on Chandler because he is a no name and unlikely to play next week anyway and went easy on Ryan because WCE are already struggling to field a side as it is. It's a farce, there is no transparency or consistency whatsoever. For example can someone explain what specifically is the difference between reckless and careless and how this is applied by the MRO?
  13. I mean if you can't just relax and enjoy watching the club when we're reigning premiers and undefeated on top of the ladder after round 9 you must live a highly stressed existence.
  14. He will get suspended. But if it was a more well known player or someone in Brownlow contention like Cripps he wouldn't be because the AFL is an amateurly run organisation.
  15. Well said Nasher - I think some people think it should be like playing a video game sometimes. Absolute destructions do occur but there is often reasons for this rather than a team just deciding to put the foot down (as well we know). This game was killed off by quarter time and we cruised to a 74 point victory in the end despite the Eagles having a real crack for half a game. What else do people want?
  16. Kept them to 1 goal and that was in the first minutes. I'd be happy to see that continue this quarter.
  17. Dogs have a very hard run home (2 d half of the season). This stretch of matches is their easiest for the year, I don't see how they make finals.
  18. Not saying that Collingwood would've won but that decision made sure of it. The game was finished after that.
  19. Maybe they need to hire security for local games or ensure a police presence.
  20. I'm always amazed to hear these stories, obviously just angry people with a few screws loose. But I've been to plenty of local footy games in the NFNL and EDFL in recent years and haven't seen or heard any of this. Maybe it's just the club's/grounds I've been at
  21. And besides this nuffie rule what are the AFL ACTUALLY doing to support umpiring at community level?
  22. I think that was exceptional circumstances with the GF in Perth (no MCC, no AFL Members, fewer club members accessing tickets)
  23. Looks like it's rule of the week again. Two paid tonight that I saw which are laughable including the one against De Goey just now which pretty much iced the game. That's what we want to see I guess, games being decided by petty umpiring decisions.
  24. I don't think the general public has access to GF tickets (unless you're talking about the $2k packages they have with a breakfast and footy record included?)
  25. Fantastic initiative
