  1. Serial offender! Did it multiple times on Queen's Bday and again when we played them a few weeks ago. That is a suspension every day of the week, unduly rough play to try and knee an opponent in the ribs who is running at the footy. He is not jumping at the footy he is blatantly trying to knee his opponent to injured them. Absolute [censored], Collingwood seem full of them.
  2. To give the benefit of the doubt, this was only my reading of the interview. Has anyone else listened to it yet? Maybe she just used the wrong words when explaining it - she did say she discusses the issue with Pert daily - but to say that they both want to at least have the "answer" to the home base by the end of their terms was only one way to read it for me. If they're still only talking about the answer to the location then they are basically at square one. I wouldn't want to destabilise the board during this period of onfield success - I think we all know onfield success cannot happen with off-field destabilisation - but this board has hung their legacy on getting a home base setup and if they don't it will be a big mark against them despite the premiership(s?).
  3. Listening to Kate Roffey on the Debrief podcast has certainly dampened my hopes about getting something done any time soon. She basically said Pert and herself are committed to finding the "answer" to the home base location before ending their terms. So they haven't even got agreement on where it should be yet let alone agreement on funding. Sounds like it is still years away - if it ever happens ā˜¹ļø
  4. It's the MCCs fault, they should just open up all seats to reserved seating, that way people could reserve the seats they actually want without going through the charade.
  5. A lot of MCC members would have reserved a seat on level 4 to make sure they get a ticket just in case but they'll walk down to sit on level 1 or 2 on the night.
  6. Makes more sense
  7. How can Geel/Coll have only sold 62k when there are no more tickets left to purchase (in either Gen Public or AFL Members at least)? Has to be wrong.
  8. I know it sucks but a premium membership is more expensive because it gives you a higher access to home and away games (ie reserved seating area) and a GF guarantee for the higher premium memberships. It does not guarantee access to premium seats for other finals or even guarantee you will get in to weeks 1-3 of finals. dworship mentioned there was an option for "Melbourne Premium membership" allocations which I gather had better seats (level N) but there is no guarantee these would not be sold out. The AFL should stop people buying 10 tickets with one membership that is ridiculous. I can understand having access to one other ticket but 10? You can ring the club and ask them to complain on your behalf but it will likely fall on deaf ears. The AFL just don't give a crap.
  9. Probably have to contact the club or login to your Melbourne membership account? Hmm I just logged into my Melbourne FC account and the space where there should be a barcode is blank. Will have to contact the club I guess.
  10. Fair enough, I assumed it was sold out as those bays were unavailable to select tickets from. So they are selling level Q bay by bay and keeping the unsold ones for walk-ups then I assume?
  11. You can but not with the AFL members barcode - you need your MFC barcode which is different but the MFC don't email those to us. I get an email from the MFC with my kids barcodes because they are junior MFC members but never get one for my membership. AFL membership on Facebook was suggesting this to Geelong and Collingwood support members who missed out on tickets only problem was the club members tickets went on sale before the AFL members ones so by the time they realised they'd missed out on AFL membership tickets the club members were basically sold out or only tickets were single seats in the nosebleeds.
  12. AFL members is basically sold out - there's a few seats in one bay on level 4 and a handful of single seats on level 1. Of course as daisycutter said it depends on whether these tickets have actually been bought and its not just a ticketek stuff up but I don't think so. Plenty of neutral AFL members go along to watch finals no matter who is playing or give their barcodes to friends who support the competing club's as the tickets are cheaper (I only had to pay a booking fee of $21 a seat instead of $80-$90 each).
  13. That's what I'm worried about if it gets to that in a Prelim though hopefully they aren't smart enough to figure it out! Hopefully everyone can try not to make it known that that is an option.
  14. Fortunately you can usually go and sit wherever you want for Melbourne H&A games. I walked up to level N and P a few times this year and just sat wherever I wanted.
  15. You were probably trying to select more seats than were available in that bay. So instead of kicking you back to select again it gave you seats in the most comparable section available
  16. I don't think that's the case for finals games though I could be wrong - H&A definitely which is utter crap but that's why they renamed it the AFL Reserve instead of the AFL Members Reserve some time ago. AFL members typically only get 13k tickets to the GF in a 23k seat reserve - all the AFL hangers on plus 5k medallion club members get seats in the AFL reserve.
  17. I think there will be way more than 65k. AFL Members almost sold out, MCC reserved seating sold out and most general public seats available are in the nosebleeds (except for a handful of single seats level 1 Ponsford). Should be looking at 80k-90k.
  18. It's not the clubs fault, it would be the MCG/AFL making these decisions.
  19. Not to mention a lot of AFL members will want to attend both games šŸ™„
  20. Only for MCC though - club members and AFL members go on sale at same time for both games - seriously these idiots couldn't organise a root in a brothel
  21. Give it a rest mate. It's the internet, anonymous people will write things then you can take it or leave it. No need to harass posters (and I say harass because this is not the first time).
  22. I feel like the team may feel as though they've ground their way through the tough part and are over the hump. It felt like they were running down hill on Friday, similar to last year's finals. Of course Brisbane offered little resistance but we came out of the blocks on fire and just mauled them.
  23. Yep, excluding 2021 this is the best season I've seen in all my years following the Demons. I think we went 16-6 in 1990 but finished 4th in an elimination final.
  24. We did it in the Prelim too
  25. I just found out my best mate has organised dinner for my god son and his sister's birthdays on the Friday night. Such a shame I'll have to miss out, I'll make sure to send them a nice photo of me at the G though šŸ˜
