  1. Don't even joke about that mate 😡
  2. Dunstall is fine, he actually has a clue and isn't too bad about Melbourne. It's Dermie that's the moron and doesn't have a nice thing to say about us
  3. I thought the victory pack would include the bluray? Lucky I got both! The full season pack inludes the GF in both DVD and Blu-ray I believe
  4. We should be aiming for 80k for that game
  5. Only 77 days to go 😜
  6. I don't really get the rationale for players having to sit out unless they are too unwell to play. Theres tens of thousands of cases a day, it's not like having players sit out or games postponed is going to stop the virus spreading. The cat is out of the bag, we have to learn to live with it now. Constant cancelling of sport/school and lockdowns shutting down businesses and putting lives on hold indefinitely is not the answer.
  7. On the main screen I selected the Sen audio and then played the game and it worked fine
  8. I finally caught up with my wife's cousins who are mad Bulldogs supporters at our Christmas Eve dinner last night, after a bit of friendly banter I said at least you guys already won one a few years ago so its not as bad as if you were still in a drought one of them tried to pull the "yeah we won a real Grand Final, not a rubbish interstate covid one" - I just smiled, and said "so that's how you're trying to rationalise that embarrassing capitulation to yourself." He said he'd rather win at the G in round 1 next year and I said don't worry, we'll do that too 🤣
  9. I scored Gawnys Diary, At Last, the premiership bluray, the premiership DVD, the Victory Pack box set, an MFC polo top, a scarf, Demons socks, a premiership coffee mug and a Grand Final coffee mug. I got my dad At Last, an MFC jacket, my brother the Petracca tshirt ("We did it baby! Wooooo!!"), my mum the premiers framed poster signed by Petracca and Gawn, my kids got premiership tshirts and water bottles. Easiest Christmas shopping in years 😀
  10. I went to the shops to buy Gawnys diary for dad for xmas then saw the At Last book and opted for that instead. Today I got Gawnys diary AND At Last from my dad for xmas as did my brother and sister 🤣 I asked him if he bought At Last for himself as well as I knew what he was getting when he unwrapped his gifts. He said he didn't but he did get a copy of Gawnys diary for himself so I made the right choice on that one
  11. It still hasn't fully sunk in and I doubt it will until we are back at the G and seeing the flag unfurled. For me though it means never having those quiet, dark moments after another disappointing loss, another crushing defeat, another coach sacked, another player jumping ship where you think "why am I so invested in this? Why am I dedicating so much time and energy to something that causes so much angst? Will I ever get the emotional reward of seeing this club as the Premiers after 20, 30 now 40 years of support? What the hell have I done to my kids setting them up for a life of misery?" Now that I've finally seen us win a flag I never have to question that again - its just enjoying supporting the team without the dread of having my emotional investment unrewarded and never having opposition supporters give me the look of pity/derision again when I tell them who I support. I've always known we were the best club but now it's not just in the history books and grainy black and white footage, its in the living flesh.
  12. When he does get through good luck speaking to someone who can actually assist in any way
  13. Just use some creative accounting to shift the book purchase to "cultural/entertainment spend" instead of footy and voila!
  14. 191 to put that horrific record to bed
  15. I've thought for a while Wells was overrated - made his name off one or two drafts (1999? and 2001) and some very lucky father son picks. His record outside that was very hit and miss.
  16. Perhaps it was the way it was written? Armstrong survived but was injured in the 2002 Bali bombings.
  17. While that's true surely they can have a cutoff so people don't waste time waiting in line if they're going to shut up shop before they finish testing everyone there
  18. Yes the curse being the team generally lost their first home game after unfurling the flag I think? Hopefully we have better luck come roubd 1 🤞
  19. A bit of a weird tradition I discovered while listening to the Kick to Kick podcast (they go through the history of the VFL/AFL one year at a time and the hosts are 3 Melbourne supporters and a Bombers supporter) is that teams often have the flag unfurled by the club President's wife (or husband in recent times I guess). It sounds like we are likely to break with that tradition and get RDB to do it which I couldn't be happier about especially considering he missed the chance to hand over the cup and then missed the chance again 2 weeks ago at the G.
  20. Was Yakka from the 70s? My memories of the Pies were with Spicers Papers which was the late 80s
  21. Got to go today with my 2 boys and seeing the cup in the flesh was glorious We got there around 430pm and the place was practically empty, we were able to go straight in with no queue just had to wait for the lady who was getting a photo with her daughter to finish then we were straight in. Kids had fun at the sports museum too with the interactive stuff so was a good arvo all round 😀
  22. Do you have a link? I can't find it online Edit nevermind just realised this post was a month old 🤣
  23. And replace Hart with Lappin or Aker
  24. As evidenced by his well deserved 4th placed B&F - he was close to our most important player early in the season I reckon
  25. Where did you get that Gold plated jewellry box with Max Gawn on it? 🤣
