They are not mistakes, mistakes would imply some level of balancing out over the course of the game or the odd one here or there. It is either being way too influenced by partisan/parochial crowds or just downright cheating. Either way it is unacceptable. If I made as many "mistakes" on my job as these clowns do I would have been sacked a decade ago.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Rubbish, nothing in it at all. Having said that it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

There was one in the first half where Langdon let the ump know about it - he gave off the handball and went to run on but was blocked. That is a free kick and automatic 50m penalty but the ump just called play on. Right in front of him, blatant and he just swallows his whistle. Kept going right to the final siren too when ANB should have got a free kick for kicking in danger, the commentators actually mentioned this one but only in a half joking manner. They're happy to single out players like Lever for doubling over after getting whacked in the guts but won't comment on the blatant cheating by the umps. They are either downright incompetent and shouldn't be officiating at the highest level or they are cheats.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
Agree, one of the worst displays since the "absolute murder" game against Fitzroy in the early 90s! If only we had commentators like Peter McKenna willing to call it as they see it these days. https://www.afl.com.au/video/183142/classic-last-two-mins-1991-this-is-murder-absolute-murder?videoId=183142&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1556673790001 But if you thought that was bad just wait til Thursday..... We're doing the Bill Hicks flying saucer tour, which means like UFOs, we've been appearing in small southern towns in front of a handful of hillbillies lately.

I only saw the first half as was listening to the second half on radio but the umpiring was criminal. They want respect how about you earn it by being professional instead of parochial. It's so one-sided it is a disgrace and ours isn't the only game either. The Saints got reamed last night too, week in, week out there are absolute howlers and umpires getting sucked in by absolute rubbish like Tex leading with the head, rucks jumping all over their opponents and getting frees for blocking, scragging around contests and on key forwards going unpunished etc. Tonight was one of the worst displays I can remember though, absolutely farcical. Happy to just get away with the four points considering that.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
Umpires crucifying us! Have to be on our game all day cos they'll keep the Crows in it Great to see Trac nail a set shot

Tracca and Oliver are Gods
Was a deadeye last year snagging goals from the boundary, hopefully he discovers that form in front of the sticks again, last week was a good start with the checkside goal.

We also beat them by about 40pts late last year (although was a bit of an arm wrestle early) with Fritts bagging 7 (3 in the last 2 minutes if I remember correctly). Let's hope for a repeat of that one today.

And if it does go our way the post match entertainment is only a few steps away too 😉

Just want to bank the 4 pts today and no injuries. Then onto Geelong.

Tracca and Oliver are Gods
Both missed sitters against Brisbane, Oliver streaming into an open goal in the 3rd and Tracca a simple set shot on 3/4 time. If they fixed that they would be the best 1-2 combo in recent history.

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
I'm pretty much at that point now. I'll watch on the couch and first crack but usually on delay so I can skip the rubbish. 360 occasionally but skip most parts that aren't about us (or about Essendon imploding). So much better when you're not consuming the rubbish commentary that goes along with the game m.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Agree but how do they get draft capital without giving up players?

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
Grundy's contract was always rubbish from the moment it was signed (in January with a season still to run from memory) - midfielders are different to ruckman and he was overvalued off one good season. Clarry is a multiple B&F, champion midfielder with one flag already under his belt and leading the AFLCA award and warm favourite for the Brownlow and he's only 24. You wrap these guys up the minute you have the chance.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Tim Kelly nominated West Coast even though Freo had a better draft hand. If players nominate club's these days it is extremely rare they don't get there (unless you're trying to leave Essendon).

Membership Tally 2022
My son's Auskick had quite a few Melbourne jumpers this year and we are in Essendon heartland so generally lots of Essendon and Footscray with a couple of Kangaroos, Pies, Tiger, Blues etc chucked in.

Steven May Suspended by the Club
Surely has to be investigated by the "integrity" unit - won't matter though, can bet there will be nothing to see here....

looking for games for season 99
There were only 20 games in the H&A in 1993 as well 😲

Could Josh Frydenberg be the new AFL CEO?
- POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Spargis tackling is outstanding, often two or three attempts in a single play - and players rarely get a disposal off once he sinks his claws in.- In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.

It looked like we were running downhill tonight. Interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks. - POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
