  1. Nah, it's not but it's semantics. 16k each, 17k v 15k whatever it was it was still crap
  2. What is the news on TMac? A couple of people have mentioned out for the year where did they hear this?
  3. Outnumbered by an interstate mob at our own home game. [censored] pathetic. And the supporters who were there sounded like they were just sitting on their hands most of the match. Make some bloody noise, it is fair dinkum embarrassing. We kicked 6 of the first 7 goals and the cheering didn't get more than some polite clapping. The Sydney cheer squad was louder than ours in the first quarter and we were up 5 goals to 0!! WT actual F.
  4. It is a [censored] disgrace
  5. Agree although I think you're harsh on Spargo and ANB. ANB in particular was in everything especially early, those guys are role players and I think they played their roles. Its the engine room (Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Harmes) not doing enough to hurt the opposition and our tall targets with the exception of Max (Jackson, Brown, Brown, Petty, Tomlinson, Lever) not taking enough contested marks.
  6. We dominated the 3rd quarter and kicked 1 goal. Should've put the game to bed then and there but shot ourselves in the foot.
  7. Loading 🤞
  8. We kicked 6 of the first 7 goals and it sounded like a suburban game. 32k against Sydney who I reckon had at least 50% of the support if not outnumbered us and FAR louder. Where are the Melbourne supporters? Bloody pissweak.
  9. Plus Levers mark and play on followed by a dropped mark a couple of minutes later.
  10. ****house
  11. Channel 7 have destroyed the coverage if the game since winning the rights back from 9 (in a joint bid with 10) in 2006. Fox/Kayo is owned by News Corp which makes me feel like I've made a pact with the devil paying monthly to watch the footy. Bring on 10, Paramount, Apple whoever anyone but 7 & Fox. I'd gladly pay extra to 1) not have the inane broadcasts of 7 and 2) not line Rupert's pockets so he can spread his right wing propaganda.
  12. Jesse who?
  13. I agree with your comments about the members/supporters in general but not the cheer squad. Go sit near them during a game, they try but it's hard for 50 or 100 people to make much noise when the thousands around them just sit on their hands
  14. Exactly, in 2008 Collingwood beat Geelong by 86 points in round 9. I'm not too worried about the loss it is the response I'll be looking at.
  15. Second quarter was very good, first quarter we were outplayed they just didn't put it on the scoreboard. It probably should've been even at half time then they blitzed us after that. @binman Don't know about the training loads, round 11 last year we ran over Brisbane after destroying the Dogs the week before. Thought it was closer to round 12/13 when it started to become evident.
  16. They were both bad really
  17. You too? 😥 At least the Spurs qualified for CL
  18. And Sparrow
  19. Clarry was on fire in that first half. Aish went to him in the 2nd half and he was extinguished. But none of our mids were blocking for him around the contest to get him a clear run at the footy.
  20. What a demolition in that 2nd half Freo were scintillating - very reminiscent of us in the GF. Hopefully the coaches pick this one apart because this wasn't like our losses last year, Longmuir completely outdid us. TMac, May, Salem and Langdon back help but it doesn't help us around the ball and it doesn't fix our contested marking (TMac and May help but don't fix it). Interested to see how we rebound next week likely without May.
  21. Depends how it's phrased I guess - I agree we are the Melbourne Football Club and that encompasses both AFL and AFLW teams so probably unnecessary to specifically refer to that. But I don't really have an issue with it.
  22. Essendon and Carlton supporters can feel the depression that comes with being putrid onfield but it doesn't have the accompanying existential crisis that comes with being a supporter of a poor club who has to contemplate the very survival of their club. I feel sorry for North too and hopefully they can rebound and not have a potential Tas relocation hanging over them. They're in an ok financial position I think so they have that going for them. I think the first step is to get rid of Noble
  23. Bloody oath, at the end of the day isn't that what it's all about (edit - not just talking footy/indigenous round but life in general).
  24. I don't see any issue with changing the term Chairman to President. I mean our current President is a woman so would be pretty silly to call her a Chairman. I typically don't refer to things as woke or virtue signalling either but I cant really see that changing the language would be an issue.
  25. I agreed with most of the amendments they proposed. The key things I commented on were - unsure about limiting tenure to 9 years as it may mean good operators are lost too early - queried whether the 9 year term limits was only for consecutive years/terms - ie can someone serve 9 years leave and then come back for another 9 years - or if someone serves one 3 year term can they only come back at a later time for a further 6 years? - would like to see something in the Constitution enshrining a senior indigenous role at the club either on the board or in the FD (similar to Matty Whelan's role) - would like to see something included around acknowledgment of indigenous culture/owners in the "inclusivity" section - would like to see the Constitution enshrine something regarding the MCG and surrounding area as our spiritual home not just our home ground. It is our home, the other clubs are only tenants (they may have done this but it wasn't clear) - queried whether the amendments related to gaming would limit our revenue options in future (I assume not but wasn't sure what these amendments were specifically in relation to) I'd be interested in any comments others may have included.
