  1. Channel 31 - 44 on digital IIRC? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. Would have thought that the idea of the thread is to express our own opinions of the current best 22, not the 22 that will necessarily play this Sunday. Warnock playing in the reserves (and being BOG each time, FYI) doesn't mean he is playing to a lesser ability than Rivers - it just means that the club thinks Rivers is a better fit in the team.
  3. Why are people suggesting to trade Bate???? He's in a form slump, sure...but he is still in our best 22. Probably one of the more recognised "young guns" of Melbourne for the footy media - no way is he trade bait.
  4. As far as I know...one of the main aspects of our Leading Teams system revolves around player feedback with the emphasis on something like"Stop, Start and Keep" - What they need to stop doing - What they need to start doing - And what they need to keep doing.
  5. Must say, I'm looking forward to a Frawley v Riewoldt match up...mouthwatering stuff.
  6. Moloney was injured against Freo, i.e. he has missed two weeks.
  7. The 12 wins concept in recent years has also been thrown by the dominance of a couple of teams - Geelong and St Kilda last year, and then Geelong and Collingwood this year, "hogging" all the wins...thus there are less wins for middle of the range teams, and a lower number will get you through.
  8. Sure, a winning crowd will spend more, but to say that a white guernsey makes teams lose or surrender is just stupid. I agree that some clashes are not there - us vs Saints or Brisbane - but the whole surrender thing is too far
  9. That is possibly one of the most ridiculous conspiracy theories I have ever heard.
  10. My thoughts exactly. Johnson might feel a bit hard done by, and it is tragic that Jurrah has to be dropped...but Trengove and Moloney select themselves. It's getting tougher at the selection table every week - with Bate, Warnock, Jetta, Cheney, Maric, Tapscott all knocking on the door. If I had my way I'd have Warnock in the team ahead of Rivers...but obviously that's not how the FD sees it.
  11. Good news - Richmond have knocked over Adelaide by 20 points. Basically puts them out of the running, with a tough draw - one less team to worry about!
  12. Congrats on the 100 games Col - well on the way to becoming an MFC superstar!
  13. Bahahahaha Sydney no changes
  14. Melbourne B: Colin Garland, Jared Rivers, Clint Bartram HB: Cameron Bruce, James Frawley, Joel Macdonald C: Rohan Bail, James McDonald, Brad Green HF: Lynden Dunn, Jack Watts, Tom Scully F: Jamie Bennell, Paul Johnson, Austin Wonaeamirri FOLL: Mark Jamar, Colin Sylvia Aaron Davey I/C: Jordie McKenzie, Cale Morton, Nathan Jones, Liam Jurrah Emg: Jack Trengove, Addam Maric, Matthew Warnock In: McDonald Out: Maric Trengove first emergency? Interesting... McDonald back to lead Dees
  15. Can I ask how the scoring system works?
  16. Brown and Fev to only kick 3 goals between them
  17. Just tried out the ladder predictor on AFL.com.au - we could be in for a big last round match. Now, shoot me down in flames if you will, but if Brisbane were to beat Sydney (at the Gabba) and we beat North in the last round... 6. Hawthorn 14 1 7 7. Carlton 11 0 11 8. Melbourne 9 1 12 9. Sydney 9 0 13 10. Adelaide 9 0 13 Making the finals on a grand total of 9 1/2 wins. We can dream
  18. Strong feeling that Watts will be rested.
  19. 6. Forward line 5. Midfield 4. Back line 3. Coaching staff 2. Jim Stynes 1. Trumpet guy
  20. Bate, Maric, Wonaeamirri and Warnock all named on the ground? Wonder what the policy is with naming AFL players in the side? Not sure about returning Junior through the VFL tbh. He's a seasoned campaigner, and we need his leadership.
  21. No Trengove or McDonald, but Moloney's still there
