On the couch tonight had Lynch kicking at only 45% from set shots this year so I’m not sure if he is a good model
-
Have to be wary with this as we have played one less game than most teams, on saying that, Essendon havent been putting up huge scores that would have blown this out.
-
The umpires I believe are in lockdown also so they probably just leave the same guys in the same state, save having to move them around.
-
I believe ANB won't get weeks, instead he will probably get given the chair seeing as he isn't one of the 'name' players.
-
The more I think about this game the more I can’t work out how we actually win it. Adelaide are horrible this year but we know who their one win will be against for the season don’t we!
-
One can only hope.
-
Is there a fee if we forfeit? I'm happy to cover it.

I think Goodwin is approaching a record for most goaless halves, give him a few extra years

I believe our training ground is quite a bit thinner than the MCG. Might explain why teams seem to go around us on the MCG and we always don't seem to spread enough. When you include the lines marked out for running laps etc then this makes the ground even thinner and when we hit the G we can never seem to spread enough.

I've heard that the bye is only in play because of the quarantine restrictions for WA, it's not to rest players just that they won't be allowed out.

In theory, improving our inaccuracy may actually improve our accuracy - our kicking to the wrong position may end up going to right position!
-
Will suit Goodwin's coaching, we generally don't like kicking goals anyway.

This would have to be the case. I've said this before but I sent an email to the club late last year asking what further or higher membership options I could get, even what type of possible (small) sponsorship I could do. I had to follow this email up with a phone call as no one replied. The phone call went nowhere, was told that I would be contacted re this as I was talking to general membership and had to talk to someone else. Never heard back. I was trying to give the club more money and couldn't!! Compare this to my tigers supporting mate who, on an unrelated call from the club, mentioned he had a mate who was thinking about getting a tigers membership. They took the details and called him within 5 minutes of that conversation, had him the guy signed up in 10 minutes.

I’ve had some time to reflect and believe we are being impatient. We are only 56 years into our rebuild, we’ve got to give it time.
-
Is he getting even more ball nowadays as teams are happy to let him have the ball as they know he will give it back to them? I know I would if I was coaching against him, similar to why teams don’t man up ruckman, their disposal usually stinks too.

That is our problem right now. Football clubs sell memberships based on hope. We've had some hope at various times in the past but we just seem to snuff out the hope as quickly as it comes around. Even if we were losing but were playing exciting football there could be some excitement around the club and you could sell it to kids and get them on board. We don't have excitement, we play boring football, we continually lose and just seem to fall further and further into irrelevance. Kids, as well as most people today, want things now, they don't want to wait. What new members will accept another rebuild?

I can’t see us continuing as we are. With our performance being a drain on the league, we don’t have people watch us or want to watch us. It’s only a matter of time till we are moved on somewhere else.
-
Don’t worry. We will learn from this.

I really don’t think that dropping rotations or even players on the field will have an impact. The coaches are so he’ll bent on controlling the game with their defensive measures that they will just lock the game down even more. They have to find a way to incentivise scoring as well as having more one on one contests. How you do that though u don’t know. Personally I think you need to get rid of most of the coaching staff and stop the game from being so overcoached. They would Probably find a way around it though.

With us moving to Sydney and now (presumably) not going to play at the MCG again, probably for the rest of the season, we won't be getting the MCG money now - how much of a bigger dent will that put in our finances??
-
It probably does depend on whether other games are postponed but it's an idea out there but an unlikely one
-
I've heard an idea being that the game is being pushed back till near the end of the season, if neither team is in running for finals and no other outbreaks etc then they just scrap the game altogether.
-
Goodwin still can’t coach. No improvement at all compared to last week. It was like he wasn’t even there!
-
If they only postpone the game. Come later on in the season, you get a few injuries that aren't major, could you deliberately infect a player so that you get an extra two weeks for your players to recover? An extreme measure but it could be done!
