  1. Morton had a few good games. we need consistency.
  2. When was the last time we won by more than 6 goals?
  3. That was the best and worst of Melbourne at the same time. 12 minutes ago I was ready to murder someone.
  4. 1 inside 50 in 17 minutes. Get stuffed you losers!
  5. Heard this all before. Heard in 2010 and during parts of 2011. Waiting for action.
  6. Petrified. I could handle a tight loss but if we get belted, I'll put the cue in the rack for the year. This match has a similar feeling to the GWS one at the MCG last season.
  7. Oh god...have we really turned to taking pride in teams losing the week after they belt us?
  8. They were bad 2002-2008 but we have been worse from 07-15, particularly 12-15.They had the worst record in the 00s of all teams and even though we made the finals 5 years we still had 13th worst record. Shows how bad we were when we were bad.
  9. LOL Beat me to it. Neeld gets the rough end of the stick around here but nothing he did was theoretically any different to what Roos is trying to do. Newton, vandenBerh are just Terlich and Jones 2.0 Roos has added a bit more experience but ultimately it's the same defensive and disciplined focus structure to turn the club around.
  10. Most of our midfielders our down on disposals. Jones Cross Tyson Vince All down on previous years.
  11. Gee, Watts straight back in after a decent at best performance in the VFL. I certainly think at his best he's in our top 22 but if he has a bad outing this week, it will be telling. Clearly Roos and the FD think he is required for this week's match-up so he must be an important in for the team. Must perform.
  12. Stretch had a very solid game against Sydney and was a no-show in his 2nd game against the reigning premiers. Give him a break. Seemed ready to me. Good for him to be blooded in that capacity.
  13. I'll tell you what, there are going to be even more questions if they get smashed this week. It'll be hard to respond to it.
  14. I'd much rather the league quietly get involved in getting the club a superstar free agency. The NBA frequently gets involved in blocking trades etc., and essentially forced Chris Paul to the Clippers after blocking a trade that would have send him to the Lakers (who at the time had won 2 championships in a row).
  15. Not doom and gloom. Simply realism And on top of that, another 10 goal loss coming up this week.
  16. You're all getting far too creative for Melbourne. Come back in 3 years when the "play a mid-sized player in the ruck" innovation has been done and every team has gone back to a traditional ruck formula. That way we can try an old game plan style and continue on our merry way of being behind the ball as a [censored] team that tries to adapt to a game style 3 years too late.
  17. Toumpas could very well fill Salem's role. Time to show his wares.
  18. I find it bizarre that some of the posters here who say, "we've played the three best teams in the comp, what do you expect?" Are also calling for Spencer to be dropped. Granted Roos was obviously in essence "tanking" those games to get some experience into the likes of Spencer against tough opposition but at the same time, I see no benefit in rushing him out before we play a very winnable game against the Dogs. If we complain about the AFL scheduling us the way it has which has led to a drop in confidence, dropping Spencer is just going to continue the downward spiral of development we've seen in previous years. IMO, he gets one more week, maybe two. Let's see if he can compete better against a side closer to our level, and let's give these inexperienced players the opportunity to play themselves into confidence. What have we got to lose anymore? When Jamar retires this year or next we will have no option but to play Spencer more often than not. I remember Jamar being god awful in his first few seasons. Spencer hasn't even played 30 games.
  19. They were good wins, sure. But we all knew the real test would come the week after, and evidentially, the team as crumbled both weeks after their wins. Yeah, the competition has been tough thus far, but surely we've reached a point as fans now that we don't hold wins over GC and Richmond that highly. It's more about now how they respond to both wins and losses. In both aspects, they continue to let us down.
