  1. Why do you feel sorry for him? He's going to get seven figures at Freo.
  2. Our backline is fine, but Howe is Frawley 2.0 and is clearly playing to run the year out. He's gone at year's end. Interesting that last year Roos moved Frawley forward and then he left, and now Howe goes back after playing forward and is destined to leave. It's like Roos is "banishing" these players in an effort to prepare the other end of the ground for their departure. Our forward line has potential. Garlett has been good with deplorable delivery, and has played his role. He needs to straighten up his set shot and be more damaging, but we couldn't expect more from him, really. It's not like Farmer was a great set shot (unless he was taking a shot to beat us...) Hogan, well, no comment needed. You can build a team around him. Our midfield is *still* shocking, probably the best in the league. Jones goes through the motions. Vince hacks it. Tyson hacks it. Cross hacks it. Vince and Cross have been "Melbourne'd". Either Tyson is injured, or he's also "going through the motions". He does nothing much of genuine value, like Jones. We lose the plot across half-back and half-forward, and it's because we *still* don't run two-ways. Our entire middle section is constantly chasing, never demanding the ball, and so therefore we can't drive forward. This is why we're last with inside 50s. Do we have bad players? Do we have bad coaches? Is it a bad mindset? WHAT IS IT? I don't know anymore. I have zero answers. I just can't see what it is about this team, where it's bad is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. I just don't get it.
  3. Says a guy posting on...social media?
  4. He has football smarts and reads the ball well. He's still just an average footballer in a bad side, but I've liked him in 2014 and 2015. Didn't deserve to get dropped this week. Why Dawes doesn't get dropped instead of him is beyond me.
  5. Jones was expected to go to another level this year. He went through the motions even in big losses in past years. This year he has gone unsighted three weeks in a row. Well below his best and being found out as a decent footballer in a bad side. People need to realize this. We need more than Jones. He's just a soldier. He's the opposite extreme of Watts, but we have nothing in the middle. No balance. Last year I said he was tradeable alongside a top pick for a powerful midfielder. Everyone laughed at me. He doesn't actually make us better. I know it's harsh and I love Jones, but we need winners. He's a loser.
  6. Zero accountability, no confidence. that handball from H to Jones sums up our done. I'm done.
  7. "We've come a long way."
  8. You're not allowed to speak ill of Jones around here. Didn't you get the memo?
  9. First 100-point win by any team this season, right?
  10. "The will to win is greater than the ability to win. Anything is possible if you believe you can win." - Praha
  11. Chris Dawes going for a mark...
  12. Remember when Roos made his, "We can't have fans saying 'Here we go again'" speech at the B&F? Well.... HERE WE GO AGAIN!
  13. Holy crap, Dunn, first time I've seen him today.
  14. 81 points. This could be a 20+ goal loss.
  15. How can we *not* start questioning Roos here? The team goes in without a single inkling of wanting to win.
  16. We are actually still just as bad against top 8 sides as we have been since 2008. In 2010 when we started looking like a half-decent team, top 8 sides still toyed with us. Same as 2011. I simply can't see how we can ever catch up to these top teams. It's a lot harder than it was 5, 6 years ago. This will be a 100 point loss. 15 goals to 2 since we kicked the first 2 goals on the game.
  17. Arghhhh....Dawes just got out-positioned and out-marked. That was embarrassing...
  18. What happens when Jamar retires this year or next? His retirement will set our midfield back a further 2 years because Spencer and Gawn clearly need A LOT more AFL experience to get even close to being up to standard.
  19. Why does Pedo get dropped ahead of Dawes?
  20. Granted, but two home games against Freo, GC and Sydney, and then an away game against Hawthorn, after already playing an away game against Richmond. We can't have everything, but at least give us an opportunity to turn a profit!
  21. We're behind the ball again, literally but also metaphorically. I think the modern game has gone past Roos. Our problem in 2011 was that quick teams would destroy us, no matter how hard we defended. It's still an issue 4 years later. Our midfield essentially plays the role entirely of tagger. Our mids aren't damaging enough, so why tag them? We break down coming out of defense. We become pedestrian whenever a team gets a run on. Our leadership is abhorrent. Our skills are deplorable. We are still a bad, bad football club. Good luck, Jackson!
  22. I don't know why Pedo gets dropped ahead of Dawes.
