Boundary throw ins
We are the only sport in the world that requires our officiators to execute a physical skill. The run a lot of kms and have to perform a skill. Not surprisingly there is a large variance in performance. Not sure how we go about it but it would be best for the game if these inconsistencies were removed

2023 Player Reviews: #41 Judd McVee
From the AFL Website: ( things we liked at round 4) Congrats to Judd and the recruiting team. Great to see Judd getting external recognition 2) The Demons recruiters have done it again You can firmly mark Judd McVee down as yet another Melbourne recruiting masterstroke. The young West Australian, who enjoyed a breakout campaign last season, continues to take strides across half-back and has now entrenched himself as one of the club's most important players. Recruited with the 16th selection in the 2021 rookie draft, McVee was outstanding in quietening the raucous Adelaide Oval atmosphere in the early stages of Thursday night's win over the Crows. He had 11 disposals in the first quarter alone and finished with 20 touches to go with four marks, 10 intercepts and four score involvements. – Riley Beveridge

Crunch Time
Tell me you haven't watched the last three years of tribunal decisions without telling me you haven't watched the last three years of tribunal decisions You'd probably be the first one complaining if Clarry broke his right trying to spoil the ball

Special Edition: What They are saying at 'The Edge'!
I heard a funny story about when Scott was appointed. He was meeting one of the coterie groups and the head of the coterie asked for Scott's mobile number. Scott said "what for?" And the coterie guy said "oh i always have the coach's mobile number" "Not this f**ing coach you don't" came the reply Coterie man was shocked 😲 The coterie groups have always had way too much power at bomberland The club is hamstrung by their glory days, powerful supporters and an inbred mentality Long may it continue

We are disciplined about not committing too many numbers to the contest. Unlike, say, Collingwood last year. We trust our players to win contest but if they don't we have players on the outside to sweat on the the oppo players. That per se would see us lose ground ball gets but be better off tactically

His kicking does my head in. Last week when kicking for goal after the siren he was laser focused on running in a straight line and kicking in a straight line. He never does that when kicking normally. Its so freaking basic, Tracc is guilty of that as well Fritsch seems to be the only one to practice that

Welcome to Demonland: Kade Chandler
Small fwd is one of the hardest and most thankless roles in a team. You lead maybe 25/28 times a game (22 times they ignore you) , you chase oppo defenders, you move up to help the mids and give an exit out of defence. It takes a huge tank and a lot of patience and determination. Chin plays the role very well and is becoming more reliable by the game. Good player
