  1. Small fwd is one of the hardest and most thankless roles in a team. You lead maybe 25/28 times a game (22 times they ignore you) , you chase oppo defenders, you move up to help the mids and give an exit out of defence. It takes a huge tank and a lot of patience and determination. Chin plays the role very well and is becoming more reliable by the game. Good player
  2. The 5 day break is a furphy . Adelaide had a 6 day break and had to travel back late on the Friday night. We don't have to travel as we are already in Adelaide. Fitness won't be a problem for us.
  3. Adelaide the number 1 scoring side in the whole competition in 2023. This year they have scored 54, 77 and 34 pts. Something is going wrong at West Lakes. Tonights not the night they are going to turn that ship around. Go Dees
  4. Since round 0 our games have been professional, disciplined and clinical. We have a new belief in the way we are playing and have stuck to our task. The camaraderie that was missing in 22,23 is back along with care for our teamates. They are driven to go 2-0 in Adelaide and will turn it on tonight Dees by 32 pts Kozzie to kick 5 in his home town
  5. 3h 20m is long haul these days?

There are a few different ways to use knees in a marking contest 1. Put knee on shoulder 2. Jump with your knee so that your shin is perpendicular to the spine of the player in front. Effectively pushing away the player in front 3. Use the'point' of the knee to drive into the player in front. This is the contentious one that does the most damage The action happens at speed so it's often an unpredictable outcome but players who have grown up in the school yard playing footy typically is 1 or 2 as they aren't trying to 'hurt' the player in front. Players that haven't grown up with game and those that are trying to'hurt' the player in front often is number 3
  7. Good point. He is but only one injury looks like a soft tissue (Achilles) the rest of the injuries look like collision or knees
  8. Windsor might well get tired as an 18 yo in a demanding role.
  9. The boys will be pumped to go 2 from 2 on a road trip. Would have set themselves for this and won't take it lightly
  10. What do we do with Hunter? Can he play anywhere else?
  11. We're super happy with Windsor but he's not better than Reid
  12. You can't look at what lever has done for us since the trade. You have to look at it at the time the trade was made. They absolutely made us pay up which is all I'm saying we should do should petty want to leave No Melbourne nice guy like grundy

Sam is a two grabber and hence won' t make it at AFL level in a KP If he can't mark he offers little else Maybe he could be tried as a ruck? at 197cm he offers height..
  14. I hope he didn't drive to the ground. Car would have been trashed if it had one of those little Demon stickers on the number plate!
  15. I don't think so, Reid has already shown he will be a gun.
  16. a 193cm crumber? I think not. Its why we have Kozzie, Chandler, Fritsch, Spargo etc.....
  17. Squiggle has us now finishing on top of the ladder and winning the GF against GWS! Go Dees
  18. Adelaide screwed us to the wall for Lever IF he goes it would be nice to return the favour.
  19. You're missing the point. The play had stopped because the whistle had gone
  20. Stand corrected, yes!
  21. They might even be desp-e-rate (sorry)
  22. Two years running we have played an Adelaide team in the Gather round. Big disadvantage.
