  1. I guess we could do a deal to pay, say Hogan, an addition $450k this year in advance which leaves us with more room next year.....we had budgeted to pay JK that money anyway...
  2. He does this a lot. Leaves his man but doesn't have the confidence to attack the footy. Consequently the ball spills free and his opponent (who he left) picks up the ball and runs away. People credit Garland with being a much smarter footballer than he is. 5 yrs ago he was, then he went through a brain fade period and I just think he has lost whatever it was that he had. Yes I know he was high up in the B&F in 2014 but there is something about his game that leads me to believe he will get passed quickly this year.
  3. Turned it over a bit on the weekend. Cant have that coming out of defence any more....
  4. At the end of the URL delete '1' and insert 2, 3 etc. Worked for me....
  5. One of my favourit photos
  6. Right so once a player is tackled you cant make a second motion. Therefore players that are tackled shouldn't be able to move. This is cr*p. The rule is designed to stop tacklers pile driving players into the ground or planting the fot and slinging the players head into the ground. Not remotely like what Oliver did. But a chicken wing is OK or a ju jitsu chop or an elbow to the cheek bone.......if you are Chris Judd.......
  7. Give him time and let him focus on his game. The last time we had a young captain(s) it didn't work out too well you might recall. Jones has been an exemplary captain and will retain it without question.
  8. Once they find their feet they take a few steps in a burst before dishing it off. Boak did that quite afew times yesterday....
  9. Today I watched a full quarter by quarter replay of the Port NAB Challenge game but when I went to look up the site again tonight it appears to be behind a pay wall. Does anyone know what is going on with this? Or does anyone have the right address of the smart replay site? Very confusing.....
  10. Thanks for sharing that info with us........
  11. That would be a joke if he was done. 1. The player had his arms free 2. He wasn't hurt. It wasn't like the player had his arms held and was dumped into the turf.
  12. Wingard was missing too I think...
  13. The replay by quarter is on the AFL match day site.
  14. Posted this is the pre-game thread. It's a tremendous victory! Shame about the Brayshaw knee but from all reports it is relatively minor....
  15. They have nearly a full strength side including a very strong midfield. We have 2 key mids out. They have also played a full game and its their own dung heap. If we win it will be a tremendous victory. If we don't it will be all about how we play and whether we play for 4 quarters. Personally I'd like to see an obvious game plan and for us to stick to that throughout the game. A strong attack on the player and the footy. And good two way running. Finally, no injuries.
  16. Understand your sentiment and I don't make short term judgements on players - they play for our club after all - but DT has had plenty of chances. I don't doubt his endeavour and commend him for working hard in the off season but his inability to hit targets kills us coming out of the backline. Frawley changed his kicking style and was much more reliable in his later years at hitting targets, so it can be done. I will watch with interest and hope that he can eliminate that bad habit.
  17. Would surprise me. If he didn't turn it over at least 3 times....
  18. Our midfield looks way down on theirs... We'll miss Jones and Vince big time...
  19. Apparently Oliver impressed with some strong repeat tackling. Lumumba in the main group as was Trenners.
  20. Old Dee????
  21. GWS have had some shocking picks but they seem to get ignored by he footy fraternity. Much more fun to pick on melbourne
  22. ONly because Jack has been instructed not to smash his team mates into the turf. Wagner is lucky to be alive.....
