He should be banned from umpiring but at the minimum he should reverse that free kick count this week against the Dogs. Anyone know who the dogs are playing this week?

We played the Dogs in the pre-season and just won. They had the top 15 from their B&F not playing that day. It's going to be a tough week but they have some injuries and its at the MCG. So long as we don't get umpire 28 we are in with a shot.

I confess that I (and I suspect many others) are confused by this rule. 2. Virtually every ruck contest has contact. The umps pull frees out of their bottoms at times. It is the most consistently poorly umpired rule in history. 3. If they paid a free for that rule according to the letter of the law, there would be 70 ruck frees a game In the Norf v St Kilda game the StK player stands in one spot and fends off Goldstein with one hand. Free to Goldstein. I would be livid as a saints supporter at that. Its rubbish. Arguably, Goldstein ran into the saints player and the Saints should have the free. Another AFL farce of the week.

On Saturday against Gold Coast we kicked 9 goals in the 3rd quarter. That was only the 2nd 3rd quarter we have won this year. We have won 6 last quarters which is pretty impressive out of 7 games. Our fitness and belief to run out games must be very high. We have also won 4 first quarters and 3 second quarters. Of the other teams it was interesting to note that Geelong has won all 7 last quarters, GWS all 7 second quarters.... FWIW

That's great, But he did directly cause 3 goals by my reckoning. I like Wagner but he needs to fix up his disposal. You clearly disagree and that's fine.

There will be other defenders with 1 year left to run who may also be interested in leaving. You don't have to wait for FA anymore. Clubs will deal when a player says he wants to go.

I counted 5 kicks of Wagner that missed the mark or turned over - most under no pressure. He needs to fix this up ASAP. Do that and he becomes a very solid defender.

The smaller runners did their jobs tonight and even though their talls kicked a few we never looked in danger I thought. We looked faster and more fleet footed without Dunn and Frost....Garland didn't really impress me particularly after the 1st qtr blunder, He was just Ok after that but still worries me with his decision making...

Not sure but we had 34 to 17 at half time and were only 5 points up...very wasteful..
