  1. And Oscar Mac is 196cm, 2cm taller than Tom
  2. The other half (well 2) were goals. Stats are great aren't they.
  3. We are no 1 in centre clearances.
  4. Who cares what he is getting paid? This argument is spurious and annoying. Its well documented that we had to get someone to the club at a time when no-one would copme. We had to pay the salary cap. Its totally irrelevant what he gets paid. get over yourself.
  5. Not sure that's right. He had a knee injury that took him a while to get over. Didn't play NAB Cup. So his pre-season wasn't "poor". And he has done everything right in the last 3 games in particular.
  6. Defender Oscar McDonald, utility Alex Neal-Bullen and former co-captain Jack Grimes have been named emergencies. Maybe some late changes
  7. Wright will have a breakout game for sure.....
  8. Dunn did have a shocker last week. So much so he was moved to the fwd line. Gave 2 x 50m penalties away in a row...

  10. Interesting omissions. Dunn had a shocker and Frost has had his chances. Garland played well last week from all reports. I hope they shut down Lynch. Speed with Stretch, grunt with Oliver and Mitchie - not sure why he gets a go ahead of ANB. Any thoughts there?
  11. Oliver In so is stretch Garland and Michie Frost and Dunn omitted. Lumumba and Salem out with concussion
  12. Nah it should take 10 years like Melbourne....(and counting)
  13. I'm not sure that's right. When you act negligently/fraudulently or illegally you may not be covered. Maybe that's what the Swiss case is about. The current judgement is scathing on the club and if I was the insurance cpy I'd be saying the club has breached its obligations to act legally. Ergo 'we are not responsible for payment' Interesting to hear the views of any insurance lawyers out there....
  14. She's already taken him for more than half of what they had together.....
  15. Good solid post. It seemed our backline was Ok when we were being pummelled every week. Whether they are now not up to it collectively or whether they are still learning the new way to play is interesting. Its clear we want to launch more of our attacks from the backline and its clear that the backs are pushing up to the contest. That demands different skills which they may/may not have, Certainly will demand different levels of fitness. We cannot have players in the backline that cannot distribute by hand or by foot. Puts too much pressure on the rest of the side. We also need the mids to play up the ground to assist both in defence and in defending the ball in our fwd 50. The plan doesn't tolerate weakness because it will be exploited as we have seen. Personally we are leaking too many goals for my liking. The jury is out on the playing group.
  16. Yep he does. Ego central.
  17. Or the Carlton Essendon game where at was 25 pts to 11 pts in the third quarter. .........
  18. Glad you are being honest......
  19. Not sure how he would be fresh when he laid 16 tackles.....and had 29 possessions. Its not like he was coasting there....
  20. Hardly exciting.
  21. No he was running fine. His decision making was off though,.
  22. Thanks for letting us in on that. Very interesting stuff. It both comforting to know that the coaches were as concerned as we were but frightening that we have players who fail to follow instructions. Some players are not 'coachable' in that they consistently fail to follow instructions (I remember hearing that from a coach about why we delisted Simon Buckley). It perhaps explains why the coaches were looking so miffed and why last year Roos said the players didn't listen to him when it came to covering Oxley (in the game where he had 14 marks). I guess he was not telling them to play like they did on the weekend. So the only solution is to get guys in who put the hard work in and do what they are supposed to do. Selection will be very interesting this week indeed. I made the point earlier about Kent going missing in our two bad losses and why its important to look at the players who don't perform in losses. We simply have to weed them out regardless of how good they are in our wins. We need players who will stand up when we are being beaten and help change the course of the game.
  23. You must be Barney rubble, Fred's simple sidekick
