  1. Jesse could be a late out. His father has passed away.
  2. Its in the West Autralian newspaper as confirmed Very sad news for him, i hope all the people bagging Jesse for his recent trip to Perth take a good hard look at themselves. Jesse Hogans's father passes away
  3. STOP PRESS 21yo at dance festival.......... dancing.
  4. this infuriates me. Particularly when a player is running and kicks the ball - the oppo player lunges and pushes in the back only to see the ball go out on the full or turned over. Rarely is a free paid. Also three times last night I counted Richmond player encroach the mark from the side and not one free paid. Another AFL rule that has gone by the wayside.
  5. Fair enough, Thought you were talking fwds..
  6. I do doubt that.
  7. Weller I think missed 3 or 4 relatively shots that could have made quite a difference.
  8. One thing that last week showed is Goodwin is prepared to select a team for the opposition and the venue. Remember last year when we made selection mistakes relatively often? Goody said against the Saints they wanted a fast forward line that could put pressure on the Saints rebounding defenders. He selected the team for that and had a lot of people questioning Hannan's inclusion. I suspect he will select this week's team for the opposition as well. And with players that are 100% fit.
  9. I love how Bernie plays.
  10. It's a discussion forum.
  11. If Bernie got 1 week, He would get 10 weeks for that today......
  12. Goodwin did well. It's hard to judge on one game but the addition of Lewis to our on-field leadership is outstanding. With Jones, Vince and Gawn they kept everyone calm and led by example, We haven't had leadership like that on-field for a long time. The players really look up to Lewis, He has been there done that and it seems our young guns have a competitive hunger to learn everything they can. Exciting times.
  13. Sorry Nasher they were totally different. The Weid one was a great scoop off the turf. The Smith one was phenominal. He fended off Smith with one hand and plucked up the ball with the other (Koutafidis like) - in one motion. Both great pieces of play but not similar IMO. The Smith one was perhaps the best piece of brilliance I have ever seen in a 1st year player.
  14. Worked for Watts up to a point. It's not uncommon at all LDC.
  15. Ask Barry Prendergast....
  16. I wouldn't go on those stats personally. Looking at the two. Keilty looks more solid. He certainly plays a much more physical game than Oscar,
  17. I think he should be dropped but I doubt that he will. At 18 games they want to put more games into him and against Carlton, having lost Vince, they won't want to change. I just see a player that is on present form a liability. Goodwin admitted that the Saints tried to isolate Oscar at every opportunity so the club knows he needs a lot of help back there. I would prefer Frost but he is unlikely ready. For those that say Keilty is unproven I say so is Hannan. I would prefer to see players attacking contests with intensity. It's not disimilar to Watts. When he was playing poorly a few years back he had zero intensity. He was dropped in rd 23 2015 and has struggled this pre-season. I see OMac in a similar light,
  18. He's bigger and stronger than OMac and IMO couldn't be much worse. OMac looks devoid of confidence to me and needs time at Casey to refresh and reset.
  19. I don't agree with that necessarily. Often the winning coach gives votes to who they thought the best opposition player was. Could well have been Goodwin giving NR votes.
  20. If anyone is in any doubt that OMac is a weak link Goodwin himself explained how the Aints tried to isolate him at every opportunity. Whoever was on him would run back towards goals to put one on one pressure on Oscar. expect it to happen more often if he plays. He needs another Demon to 'babysit' him in the backline which is what brother Tom did for much of the game.
  21. Signed up for the $89 a year AFL live pass. Watched the replay on a desktop. Pretty crappy vision. Goes in and out of focus regularly. But its cheap enough I supose. Had no success casting to the TV using Chromecast. Anyone recommend a chromecast app that can do it?
  22. Still my favourite piece of play. One handed against a 3 time premiership player. Impressive
  23. Thanks for that
  24. Err Rance elbowed Watts who was prostrate on the ground. Bernie collected him with the soft part of his forearm. It wasn't a swinging motion but a glancing motion. But given the MRPs consistency - 10 weeks at a minimum.
