  1. In 2020 the club told ANB to look around. He was a hard worker and well liked but was fumbly work the ball and unreliable He turned his game around and became a huge mainstay of the team. Sharp has a blueprint of how ANB plays and along with Langdon as a mentor and some'hurt' at missing a GF could well hit his best in the next few years
  2. Sometimes they have to dangle a carrot to keep up motivation...no intel here but its not unprecedented
  3. They have 12 players that will be 29yo or over at the start of the season 2025. I'd say they are putting all their eggs in the one basket No Name Games Age Date of Birth Height Weight Origin Position 10 Pendlebury, Scott 403 36yr 9mth 7 Jan 1988 191cm 86kg Gippsland Power Midfield 38 Howe, Jeremy 252 34yr 3mth 29 Jun 1990 190cm 86kg Hobart Defender 22 Sidebottom, Steele 331 33yr 9mth 2 Jan 1991 184cm 86kg Murray Bushrangers Midfield 46 Cox, Mason 129 33yr 6mth 14 Mar 1991 211cm 110kg Oklahoma State Forward Ruck 5 Elliott, Jamie 194 32yr 1mth 21 Aug 1992 178cm 83kg Murray Bushrangers Forward 41 Mihocek, Brody 137 31yr 8mth 4 Feb 1993 192cm 99kg Port Melbourne Forward 6 Mitchell, Tom 203 31yr 4mth 31 May 1993 182cm 88kg Claremont Midfield 32 Hoskin-Elliott, Will 224 31yr 1mth 2 Sep 1993 186cm 82kg Western Jets Defender Midfield 25 Crisp, Jack 249 31yr 2 Oct 1993 190cm 91kg Murray Bushrangers Defender Midfield 11 McStay, Daniel 180 29yr 3mth 24 Jun 1995 195cm 99kg Eastern Ranges Forward 14 Cameron, Darcy 95 29yr 2mth 18 Jul 1995 204cm 103kg Claremont Ruck 30 Moore,
  4. Good post
  5. How would you know what we have offered?
  6. never liked him anyway. Dodgy haircut
  7. Any mythical trade to geelong would not have resulted a single dollar more to the Manager.
  8. He's not making any money out of you, rest assured.
  9. His first halves were atrocious along with Petty. I would check their stats at half time and often Petty and Fritch would have 1 or 2 touches between them. That's just not good enough.
  10. Congratulations to the warrior Jack Viney...
  11. He showed up Grundy and the Sydney midfield
  12. Agree with that . Was really referring to a Campbell type that will have to sit in line behind Max for 3 years.
  13. Max has just re-signed for 3 years (he will be 35 then) No quality ruckman wants to be drafted to sit behind Max for 3 years on the off chance he gets injured.
  14. "We would have smoked Brisbane" - S May
  15. Ah yes youre right. Thanks!
  16. Tracc wiped out a season mucking around with his mates trying to dunk a basketball and did his ACL. just sayin....
  17. Had a lot to do with the timing
  18. They kick instinctively and aren't scared to make mistakes. They kicked so many risky short kicks that nearly always came off. We on the other hand are stagnant, stop start and with players that refuse to run to make leads. It's almost like our entire game plan is 'kick it long to Max'. We are the polar opposite to all the final 8 sides
  19. A pretty amazing effort by Brisbane. 5 ACLs this year, 4 finals, two big finals comebacks. started 0-3 and then 2-7 after 9 rounds (in 13th position) They deserved to win. I was astounded Brisbane were allowed to play the way they did. Their kick mark game from the backline was exactly how they beat us and many teams in the past two years. Almost like the Geelong of 2012-2020. There was nothing new in their game plan except maybe they finally added some very good pressure. The Swans wilted. And their key players stood up. The Swans fwd line is pretty weak whilst the Lions have a lot of firepower up front. We need a big FWD desperately.
  20. Yeah I guess you guys are right. Our fwd line is a towering strength of ours. We must be doing something right
  21. You're a glass half full man. We lost by a kick to Port, GWS, Blues and Brisbane. Win those and the conversation would have been different. We had a terrible year in my view but I can see how Goodwin would look at the above and say we weren't far off.
  22. Why do we get a backman as a forward coach, a ruck as a fwd coach or. defender as midfield coach? Why can't we get Stevie J as a fwd coach?
  23. GWS has him on their website as 194cm but in the accompanying blurb he is 197cm so go figure.... The GIANTS added athletic key forward Wade Derksen to their list in the 2022 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft. Plucked out of the WAFL by the GIANTS in the middle of the year on the back of an eye-catching 22-disposal, four-goal, seven-mark performance for the Peel Thunder, Derksen is a latecomer to the game after starting off playing rugby. Standing at 197cm, Derksen was previously part of Essendon’s VFL program before playing with Nightcliff in the Northern Territory. Derksen showed strong form for the GIANTS at VFL level in 2023, finishing as the side’s leading goalkicker for the season with 35 majors from 18 games. He was rewarded with a two-year contract extension which will see him in orange and charcoal until the end of 2025.
  24. I don't mind Fagan and he deserves some redemption but seeing Zorko holding the cup up would make me physically ill Go Swans
  25. Unbelievably corrupt
