  1. We got a run on in the last qtr. The margin 2 pts at one point in the last qtr I think
  2. Saw it on Fox Footy in the post match wash up
  3. Hawthorn won the pressure stat. 206 average. Hawthorn's highest for the year. Blindingly obvious watching the game they were harder and more switched on than us with numbers at the contest. We had no answer. We fumbled, made poor decisions and went back to the selfish footy of trying to do everything themselves. And our crumbing forwards were nowhere to be seen when the whips were cracking.
  4. These kind of stats are total rubbish unless you have an idea of where the shots are being taken from.
  5. Interesting that you think its us supporters who are the bipolar ones. Not the bipolar footy team we follow. The way they play totally befits a comparison to a bipolar disorder. And its been that way for 50 years. But yeah, its our fault.
  6. If you really think we were younger and less experienced then you know nothing about maths or football. Take Burgoyne out and see what that does to your average??? They had 10 players with less than 35 games and had 10 first choice players missing. We were pathetic
  7. Is much harder when we continually kick from deep in the pockets. Insanity
  8. Ahh, the old I don't like what they say so I'll cancel their right to say it You could burn a few books while you're at it There's a word for people like you and it isn't nice Block posters of you don't like what they say. And then grow a pair
  9. Rather spargo kick for goal than Oliver.
  10. Mental midgets coached by a pea brain Outworked by a team missing 10 first 22 players. And our leaders? Hang your heads in shame
  11. We will have lost to 15th 16th 17th Ducking idiots
  12. Umpiring is so biased towards the dogs i have just switched off. Its so pathetic
  13. Frost is uncoachable. He knows best apparently
  14. We're a 3 goal per qtr better side Should win by 50+ if we bring the heat VDB to be a wrecking ball We owe them
  15. Ha ha are you Cameron Schwab? https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/28727/melbourne-launches-new-guernsey
  16. They could film another moon landing as well....
  17. Gusty winds and up to 6mm of rain forecast....maybe not a great night for talls....
  18. The Hawks will try to turn the game into a slog like they did last time. They will forgo the clearances and their wings will flood back at the first opportunity. We need to stop them trying to control possession and get the game moving quickly. On talent and system we win this if we bring our A game. The game will be played in our forward half and it will be a challenge to find a clear pathway to goal. Dees by 48
  19. Sorry if I have stolen someone else's thunder with this thread but there is a certain amount of schadenfreude reading through the Hawthorn Big Footy site. Fair to say not much optimism there... We'll play long and slow along the boundary as we have all season and did against them earlier in the year so as to turn it into a defensive, contested game. We try and play through the middle and kick to forwards who lead is, in simple ways, how you win, but at the same time, if Melbourne aren't asleep like Sydney were against us, the risk is they bury us on turnovers from our lack of skills and their superior defensive unit. I assume we play the 22 fit players left on our list. Maybe let them choose where they want to play. No CJ, Day, Sicily, Scrimshaw, Impey, Wingard, Gunston. Coach who has been told he is not the man to take us forward. Cold, wet weather forecast. Against the best team in the comp. Twilight timeslot. In a pandemic. Well done if you're going this week. Jaeger and Kosi must be in doubt. Both looked lame. I simply can't see how we'll win this game, we'll get smashed in the ruck, smashed in the midfield, don't have anyone to seriously trouble May and Lever even when we do get it forward and lots of our rebounding intercept defenders are injured. Praying we only lose by 8 goals as opposed to something really disastrous. If Sean Darcy can get 25 possessions and 9 marks imagine what Gawn will do! It's going to be an absolute blood bath A COVID outbreak and resultant postponement of the match is probably the best we can hope for with this one The only question in this one is, will be lose by more goals than I drink beers for the day ? Our mids should be aiming for Gawn with every kick. We might only hit him once or twice that way This is the least I am looking forward to a game all year. I just hope that Melbourne go through the motions for a 50 point win as opposed to actually giving a fu**... that would be a scary scenario. Unfortunately though if it’s in MItchell's hands it will be in opposition hands pretty soon thereafter. 1 score involvement from 39 touches is diabolically low impact.
  20. Just done some checking on future picks and if I have it correctly then this year; Melbourne receive: Hawthorn's pick 3, North's rd 4 pick, Brisbane's 2nd and 4th round picks, Bulldogs Rd 3 pick We give our 1st pick away to Brisbane That is a pretty good result and the club really back the right horses it would seem... https://www.afl.com.au/news/528418/future-picks
  21. Do we get a second round Hawthorn pick somewhere ? Was it for Frost?
  22. I don't follow soccer but can someone tell me why the Italian Captain wasn't sent off when he dragged the England player down as he was trying to break away? Seems like an obvious send off to me?
  23. Sounds like you have a few issues
