Just thinking out loud (or at least on keyboard..) I wonder if JVR non selection is actually about teaching and consolidation of ball movement for our mids and HF line. With JVR a focal point we are in the habit of the long bomb and have no vision of lateral/other options. Making it very easy for the loose sweeper to dominate We have been way better at this over the past couple of weeks while playing more small ball. When JVR comes back they should be in the habit of finding the best option instead of just heading his way.

Got last years indigenous jumper - with red heart. Cracking jumper. This years looks just as good. However really think the designs could be used for multiple years rather than redoing them year on year. Seems like a waste of resources and non-sold merchandise to me.

Just watched Paul Guerra get interviewed on Footy classified. Eddie Maguire suggested that Caulfield will be pushed back by 12 months with the Mt Scopus work. James Hird mentioned that Port Melbourne should be on the agenda and there's something that could be done there given Australia post have or are leaving the building next door to the ground. He might be onto something that needs a closer look - not against it if a total solution can be done there and caulfield is delayed or compromised

Really don't understand the view of if we lose against freo and richmond then.... It's already broken and need of blowing up and restarting. Either the message is wrong, the communication of the message is wrong or the players won't or can't fulfill the message. In any case that's on the coaching group. The coaching group needs to be changed. Waiting for more losses won't help anything other than demoralising the group even more. With any caretaker coach the losses won't matter as much and each day/week gets closer to the end goal of new coaching group with different viewpoints/communication. Blow it up now.

After his great preseason the coaches decision to hand him the sub vest in rd1, and drop him for Rd 2 while giving XL a start on minimal preseason just boggles my mind. XL has been great, HL should've played full games in Rd1 and 2....
