  1. Come on doggies
  2. Just pay the mark
  3. Zorko hatched that why no free
  4. Frampton.... although managed to keep Brisbane's gun full back to zero goals 🤣
  5. One handed massive throw from Lachie Neale not paid.... home town arm chair ride from the umps
  6. Fritta for Harry McKay. You heard it here first. Solves problems. We both lose one set of problems (..... and inherit another)
  7. For the love of God please make Kelli underwood shut up. Incorrect so often - no one correcting her (must be a directive from above) Yelling out her barracking for north. Shes just horrible as a commentator
  8. The whole qld academy access for father sons is an absolute farce. Just reading luke Hodge's kid is part of Brisbane lions academy. Can't imagine hime going anywhere other than Hawthorn, just like Kalani shouldn't be anywhere else but the dees. Thought the academies were about growing the game to people and areas that aren't traditional... as opposed to hoarding players that are destined regardless
  9. Well footy was enjoyable again for a little while. A couple of those early misses go through and the gap might have been just a bit m7ch for the crows to will themselves back into it. JVR taking grabs, Pickett being super dangerous, Melky in best form of career. Absolute signs of life
  10. Vote 1 - Knuckles McVee. Came in with zero expectations and has smashed it out of the park since. Cane see him being a Nick Maxwell type captain - backline focussed, team focussed, someone internally respected that isn't a 'star', not the best player on the list but someone absolutely 100% dependable.
  11. Listening to John Longmire being interviewed on unfiltered on chanel 7. So So So different to the corporate rhetoric we get from Goody. The game will better if anyone (including us) get him back into a coaches box. Like Goody he seems relationship focussed but has an honest country lad feel about it. A big yes from me to chase him!

  13. Travis Cloke improved his goal kicking by training, training and training - working on ball drop, routine and added simulated crowd noise - using headphones. He worked with sport psychologists and became a better gial kicker. Cloke feeling the noise - https://www.afl.com.au/news/112202 There are many aspects to set shot routine - head space, heart rate, fatigue, routine, ball drop and kicking action. Perceived pressure and external noise from crowd wind direction. It really is an artform - to get right more often than not requires practice practice and more practice in all areas of the f50 in all conditions, simulating all of the above factors. I would welcome any of the greats to come down and help work with the guys who take shots. If that's Lloyd, Neitz that's great but others likecloke, matty Richardson who worked hard on the art wold offer serious value as well
  14. Just turned on the tiges v swans.. Tiges 2 goals up...😂 Obviously it's because of us completely breaking the swans a couple of weeks back. They are rabble as a result of the dismantling by us.
  15. With the last few weeks - there has been a stay of execution. Today we won the 'moral' victory of predicted scores.... we lost badly due to goal kicking. Absolutely terrible goalkicking from guys who are paid serious money to kick a footy. All the good work in the coaching box was undone today. The hangman is reaching for the noose again
  16. Was going to go, put it in the diary on the phone and completely missed it this morning until I got the phone out to pay for the weeks groceries..... Ah well missed my 'free' coffee
  17. Those days were awesome 👌 never felt unsafe at any of the suburban grounds - vic park, windy Hill, moorabbin, western oval all had there own personality and witnessed some absolute nut jobs - lots and lots of banter - some awful, most fully in jest. Was always fun getting amongst the local ferals
  18. Just a heads up gang - his basketball team and footy team will be there tomorrow as part of the guard of honour for the teams entrance to the game and 2 younger sisters running out with the team. Tickets provided by MFC for family members of both teams. Big congratulations to the the club for making this happen
  19. Would love to be the one giving the half time spray.....
  20. That's a cracking good kick at goal from Jayden Hunt. Absolutely terrible from us all round though
  21. You'd be stoked if you were compared to Karl. Great footballer
  22. I stand corrected - was Balmey. Could've sworn blue it was danners though - mixing my memories
  23. My favourite Neil Daniher quote "who's this Theo X person that's parked in my carpark" Still call Schwarta Theo instead of the Ox 😆
  24. Just thinking out loud (or at least on keyboard..) I wonder if JVR non selection is actually about teaching and consolidation of ball movement for our mids and HF line. With JVR a focal point we are in the habit of the long bomb and have no vision of lateral/other options. Making it very easy for the loose sweeper to dominate We have been way better at this over the past couple of weeks while playing more small ball. When JVR comes back they should be in the habit of finding the best option instead of just heading his way.
