  1. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/101751/default.aspx the kid is not short on confidence, likens himself to buddy and browny!!
  2. I would have thought we need some pace, walker for carlton could fit that bill nicely. Would be happy to do straight swap with blues for warnock.
  3. will lose a lot of respect for thompson if he leaves espically since he played the loyalty card during the year.
  4. I would lose all respect for Bomber is he left the cats after what he has said publicly about loyalty. I just can't see it happening.
  5. hopefully he has time to watch reiwoldt play as his work rate should be a benchmark for watts to obtain.
  6. Chance to win? Hopefully, he does not slip over at the start.
  7. matt burgan had this for pick 19 which was strauss' pick. 19 – MELBOURNE – JORDAN ROUGHEAD North Ballarat, VIC, Ruckman, November 3, 1990, 199.7cm, 91.8kg (Draft range: 8-26) With Melbourne great Jeff White moving on at the end of the 2008 season, the Demons are eager to find a long-term ruckman. Having missed out on Robert Warnock via the trade period, expect Melbourne to pounce on a ruckman at No.17 or No.19. Roughead, Jarrad Redden or Shaun McKernan will all be in the mix. Roughead, the cousin of Hawthorn premiership player Jarryd, has attracted interest from Richmond, Sydney Swans, St Kilda , Geelong, Hawthorn and Fremantle. even with jamar doing well I would have loved to have picked up this guy I think he has huge talent think he would have offered a lot more than strauss. Hindsight is a great thing.
  8. ryan murphy from freo? a reasonably big bodied type but injury prone, might be worth a spec at?
  9. rapt we are keeping bate, I still think he is a key cog to mfc making the next step.
  10. josh mahoney flirted with the idea of going to Port and having a go at their top job, however after anylsis of both lists he will stay with the demons for another 2 years, Bailey a massive fan.
  11. B+ at the moment, next step in the progress is to beat a team of quality ie a top 4 side, hopefully that will happen next year.
  12. can he play casey finals? does he need 2 or less games to qualify? if so drop him so he can play for casey in the finals would be a good expirence for him, see if he can stand up on the big stage.
  13. steve spargo is a good bloke I know his son, loves his demons and his brother is on the MFC board.
  14. late change watts out, trenners in.
  15. Out Watts (inj) Scully (general sorness=rest), Maric In Bate, Trenners, McDonald.
  16. this week concerns me, crunch game for the demons, lions will be thinking they are a chance and will come out hard demons must meet them and maintain their effort from last week. It will be great to get a good win against an interstate team.
  17. dumb dumb call bate is a good player who is important for our lineup he provides a strong target around the chf region, yes he was rubbish last week but he will do a better job than maric.
  18. last night fox sports were saying that Brad Green was in doubt with a finger injury, if true would be a huge blow.
  19. the size of his leap to get a third man up tap at a stoppage in the last quarter was impressive. the confidence he will gain from this year will do him the world of good.
  20. he did not get used in the passage of play when healey was making that comment, not sure if he was free, but if so we have to use him and reward him for his gut busting runs. It will just deflate his opposing player even more.
  21. I can't believe Bailey would start an extra man in defence to start the game last night, it made my blood boil, I was thinking how defeatest is that? There was no wind to speak of so there was no merit to the move. The commentators were banging on about it all first quarter, when we finally went man on man we were able to get it into the forward line easier and were generally more competitive, albeit too late. Take the game on Bailey from the start and we might be a chance of winning interstate.
  22. what the hell was bailey doing putting a loose man in defence from the start, disgusting, might as well put up the white flag. bloke is never going to win intersate with that rubbish tactic.
  23. given the state of the surface last night, watts and scully being unable to keep their feet again.
  24. I don't have the information readily available but wasn't gysberts in the first couple for kicking efficency at the draft camp?
