  1. Is it just me or is anyone concerned that west coast are going to seriously tank and win only one more game for the season? Call me negative but I believe it is crucial that we pick up 1 & 2 as it will allow us to pick up a gun midfielder (scully) and a key forward/ruckman without having to be compromised by hoping that west tank don't pick up a player we need.
  2. Surely the game between Saints and the Demons would grab a bigger audience than that of Freo v Tigers. However Ten in their wisdom have gone with a team who is 15th vs a team that nobody in melbourne is intrested in.
  3. If we do play games there we should arrange for a games to be played back to back so the players can stay there for the week to allow them to market MFC within the community. It will also mean that we will be acclimatised to the heat which would leave us in good stead for the game in the second week.
  4. I know that he has had enough of the injuries and the latest one was the last straw so he has decided to retire.
  5. not happy at all. We must be playing for the future and at least 2 of those in's (whelan and valenti) are more than likely not going to be with the d's next year. There must be something behind bennell not playing, play jetta and macnamara they are our future.
  6. I am not sure if anyone cares but Tim Boyle from Hawthorn is going to announce his retirement soon. I was keen to snare him a couple of years ago, he was a talent, great kick for goal but sadly for him, injury prone.
  7. I was having a look through our list and I was surprised how difficult it was to find people that we may delist at the end of the year. Although these people might prove me wrong I think the following might be on their last legs with the d's Bell Buckley Whelan If we are able to snare butcher in the draft then Newton would be a very good chance to go as well. If it does pan out as muted above, I would really hope that we keep Whelan around the club. He has been fantastic for the young guys espically the aboriginal players, he would be great as a development coach.
  8. Before his first shot at goal, BT said that Miller was a "very good shot for goal" unless I have been to different games over the last couple of seasons this is clearly not true (although he did kick well for goal yesterday)
  9. I really enjoyed how we played today, the run and the use of the corridor was fantastic. However I cringe when four minutes to go in the second quarter we clearly tried the slow down tactics, as against Richmond a few weeks ago it costs us a few goals and stopped the momentum. I say keep playing the way you are, regardless of the time.
  10. Get rid of Bohdan Babaczuk simple as that. When he was at the hawks they were riddled with injuries and he continued the "form" at the demons for the last couple of years.
  11. What about playing a couple of games against interstate clubs down at Hobart (Bellerieve Oval), Tasmanian's love their footy and the people from Hobart would attend in numbers if an AFL game was to be played there. We would make far more money than we would at the G from these games and we can also add to our membership as Hawthorn do with the people from Launceston.
  12. I have seen every game this year and Cameron Bruce has been sadly out of touch. his disposal has dropped away and he does not appear to be setting up the play and finishing off the way he used to. I am now starting to worry as to whether he will be able to recapture his spark that made him one of the better players in the comp. Thoughts?
  13. from the limited possessions he got he appears to have a selfish element to his game, trying to kick goals when he should have dished off. However we need to get expirence in him and I would persist as he will learn.
  14. He is still named on the demons website, (Bohdan Babijczuk – Athletic Development Coach)
  15. not that any of these injuries are soft tissue but I would be very happy to see the back of boban babechick (or however you spell it). The rumours were that Hawthorn were pleased to get rid of him and I cannot see anything amazing he has done with the demons. Throughout his time we have had a long injury list which we cannot afford to have in the next few years when we start looking to play in finals.
  16. I noticed Liam Jurrah is not named for Casey. Given what happened last year I just get a bit nervous when I don't see his name for the second week in a row. Can anyone advise as to whether he is injured and when he is expected back?
  17. I agree I think chipper frawley was sensational on the weekend playing on a good player, a real shining light
