  1. a couple of times in the best for melbourne this year would be a good result for me. I only want to see that he has it at AFL level and we can all get excited about what the future lies for jack in 2011 and beyond. His mark against brisbane was a sign that he has star quality. A bit more of that this year and I will be happy.
  2. I listened to that interview and I am sure there was no mention of him missing half the season. But he did mention a niggle with his back which has precluded him from training.
  3. according to Schwaby's twitter there was a scratch match on today, was anyone there?
  4. You are correct when I was referring to leaner I was referring to muscle rather than fat, He changed noticably in his looks from 08 to 09 and became visibily more stronger. Maybe he overdid it with the weights which has caused stress on his hammys? and I agree wona is a top bloke which watson is not. just a thought
  5. Is it just me or do people think the plight of Wona is simular to that of Shane Watson in regard to his hamstrings. There were reports that Watson was doing an incredible amount of weights which inturn put stress on his hamstrings (as to why I have no idea)this resulted in him tearing his hamstring on numerous occassions. In early 2009 watson got off his extreme weight program and got leaner and he has not had any problems with his hamstrings since. In Wona's case he bulked up signifcantly from 2008 to 2009 years and has hamstring problems ever since. Is it merely a case of getting wona a little leaner?
  6. it is a consistent theme sadly because since he has been there we have been consistently riddled with injuries, broken arms, legs etc are not his fault but when we are dealing with stress fractures and hamstrings then consideration must be given to what the fitness staff, of which Bodan is a part of, are doing?
  7. I blame Bohdan Babijczuk ever since he has been at the Club our injury list has been a disgusting. No wonder the Hawks were keen to get rid of him. Very dissapointing, we cannot be competetive with Martin as our sole ruckman
  8. butcher not named for gippsland, he must be still injured. If he was going to get picked up by the d's at pick 2 he is going to have to get on the park and play some good games before draft day.
  9. I would take maric psd if he can't agree with the crows
  10. we need to somehow get rid of PJ, trade him for whatever. I don't want MFC's money paying for his inepitude.
  11. simple answer no. the new age ruckman is going to be a versaitle, mobile, hard running and athletic. Clark and Ryder are going to lead the way in this regard. Stef Martin with some time could become somone in this category.
  12. we def don't need another jetta running around, we should go best tall for pick 18 hopefully panos.
  13. Should be Sully, Trengrove best available tall at 18.
  14. his best mate from home reckons he is homesick, and ripe for the picking from a melbourne club, the only thing that will keep him in SA is that he is a loyal bloke. I am sure the crows would jump at trading pick 2 for him, but trengrove might be a beauty.
  15. With a full strength demons side we have an abundance of players who can fill the key defensive posts. However as everyone knows we are lacking in key marking forwards. Therefore I would try T-Mac for the next couple of weeks as a forward, maybe centre half foward. See how he goes, one pass into the forward line that stood out and showed that he has good skills and appeared to have a nice pair of hands cannot be any worse than miller or newton
  16. To be honest I would rather lose against freo and then beat carltank, means we can ruin cartlon's season as well as getting picks 1 & 2.
  17. dangerfield from the crows is homesick I would be very prepared to look at swapping pick 2 or 3 for him. absolute jet who has some massive upside.
  18. best result would be to lose to freo and kangas and then beat the blues to knock them out of the finals. They destoryed our season in im pretty sure 06 when we lost to them twice, lets get revenge.
  19. I am concerned with the media spotlight on dean he may be hesitant in making his calculated moves ( i.e. having a forward line of warnock, frawley and whelan) this week against the kangas. This is our last "danger" game. We have come so far this year to get these PP lets not blow it because dean is worried about the backlash by the media. Go roos do it crocker's first win as coach and also so demons supporters can "enjoy" a win against the shockers the week after. on a final note when you are excited about losing on a siren there is something seriously wrong with the systym.
  20. From speaking to recruiters at two Victorian clubs they are saying that it there is not much between scully and trengrove, since the carnival trengrove has been flying in the SANFL. Freo if get the chance at pick 2 will take trengrove, I think we need to do all we can to get pick 1 & 2. It will most likely come down to % to see who gets pick 2
  21. the game against port won't be an issue now, with richmond and kangas out of the priority pick (2nd round) we will lose to them with our final win against freo. John Meesen my biggest dissapointment, we had a taste but cannot conclude either way as to whether he will be long term for the d's
  22. problem was that he failed to commit to head over the ball, the sidestep in my opinion was an anticipation of the ball boucing. but to be clean with the pickup he must put his head over the ball. This is his first year and it will be a learning curve. The guy needs to get a good tank and he will be a very good player in the mid for the d's.
  23. Yes McKenzie looked good but do we have too many "grunt" players?. I think we overcompensated a couple of years ago getting too many in and unders like maloney, jones, mclean etc. what I think we need is blokes who are going to break the lines with pace. Hopefully bennell, grimes morton can bring this to the table
  24. forget the butch too many issues, a gun mid is what we need, trengrove should be hot on the radar if he is gone lets go after cunnington or rohan. Hopefully a good KPP will fall to 18.
  25. if we want to get rid of pick 3 then I am happy to trade it direct for dangerfield. both parties win, adelaide get trengrove and we get a victoria gun who is home sick.
