  1. Both should end up at Carlton.
  2. And now for the really bad news on the injury front:-
  3. Young team. Those boys want to catch the plane and get home early, tucked into bed with their Teddy Bears.
  4. Any reports ......... ? Yes, Cyril Rioli - two weeks (will miss the MFC game in Round 20). Buddy to go next week !!!!
  5. Great to see the football world finally sitting up and taking notice of us instead of the snide comments about us going skiing in winter.
  6. If we make the finals I would want us to beat the Hawks in a final after getting a dodgy free kick on the siren.
  7. I'll wager 6 to 4 on that it becomes a best seller!
  8. It's incredible that this year when there's so very little advantage to be gained from finishing last with four wins or less that there's absolutely no mention in the football media of the T word!
  9. That's right let's bring back the players who starred last week at Casey in that glorious 20 goal defeat!
  10. The best way to bring happiness and a smile to every Collingwood supporter's face would be for us to take Fraser off their hands.
  11. Matthew Bate (ankle) - test Sam Blease (leg) - 2 weeks Cameron Bruce (hamstring) - test Jack Fitzpatrick (shoulder) - 1 week Max Gawn (knee) - 6-8 weeks Liam Jurrah (shoulder) - 4-5 weeks John Meesen (ankle) - indefinite Ricky Petterd (shoulder) - season Luke Tapscott (hip) - 4-6 weeks Does this mean Jake Spencer (back) and Matty Warnock (general soreness have overcome their injuries from last week?

  13. Terrific report but those last ten seconds seemed like um, well ... ten seconds to me:) !
  14. Just bumping this up to show off.
  15. Hope they don't get the boys drunk on the set.
  16. Is this some sort of a joke? I stated very clearly what my source was i.e from friends who attend training. One of them is in close contact with some of the players and I have previously posted information that they have freely given to him. Those who follow the site closely would be aware that Tapscott hasn't been in full training since late January. Although it was said that he missed the intra club game due to his grandma's death (which is true) I heard on Saturday that all was not well physically with Tapscott and I wrote elsewhere on the site at the weekend that I would try to find out what if anything was wrong with him. I posted this here when the news was confirmed to me. I note that the club has confirmed nothing but I'm confident my info about the hip injury which more or less co-incides with DA's happens to be correct. One more thing. I occasionally visit Demonology but do not post there because I'm more interested in facts not self-indulgent drivel. There is a poster over there who calls himself/herself "Deeman" and that poster is NOT me!!!!!!!!
  17. Was told by someone who attended training and told me he heard it there. Is there a problem with that.
  18. Tapscott hasn't joined in general training for a few week now and was mainly walking around the boundary yesterday. He did go back to SA last week because of his grandmother's passing but, on coming back, is clearly not right and the word going round Casey Fields yesterday (as mentioned on both Demonland and Demonology (see the training threads) is that he needs surgery on his hip but that it's not major surgery. There's been no word at all from the club on this but that's nor unusual with the MFC and the notification of injuries to players. Meanwhile, here's the club's injury list. It's supposed to be official FWIW: Matthew Bate (quad) 3 weeks Sam Blease (ankle) 4 to 5 weeks Cameron Bruce (hamstring) 2 weeks Colin Garland (foot) 3 to 4 weeks Max Gawn (knee) Indefinite Paul Johnson (foot) 6 to 8 weeks John Meesen ® (ankle) Indefinite Jack Watts (back) 3 to 4 weeks Austin Wonaeamirri (hamstring) 2 to 3 weeks Luke Tapscott not mentioned.
  19. Luke Tapscott apparently has a hip injury and will have atheroscopic surgery. Unsure how long this will keep him out.
  20. ... or like wasting a first round draft pick by trading it to get Cameron Wood. (thanks anyway)
  21. Sorry to disappoint but # 20 was a top up player from the Casey Scorpions and not Colin Garland who is still building up his training regimen. Luke Tapscott was out because of a family bereavement but he hasn't been joining in training for some time. One of my mates who goes to most training sessions and has contacts among the players is going to ask around to find out what the problem is (if any).
  22. I've been looking at photos of training at Casey and notice there aren't any houses down there. Therefore, they must all be training the house down !
  23. No you were not following my "logic through to its conclusion." You were commenting on your interpretation of my logic which was incorrect and your comments were therefore flawed. Bailey has been coach of the club since late 2007. He has worked in a difficult environment but discerning observers should already know a great deal about how he prepares his teams. He is under no constraints in 2010. The team doesn't have to lose games to get priority draft picks. He has to coach the team for the NAB Cup and pre season games plus 22 rounds and (we should be so lucky) in finals. Those who know something about coaching would have a pretty good idea as to whether he can coach long before the end of that period.
  24. How is the winner determined?
  25. Pardon me but was Dean Bailey appointed for 6 months?
