There are two or three other shows on a Thursday night that are superior in quality including the Marngrook Footy Show but TFS still outrates them easily. I suppose that's a reflection on the audience more than the quality of programming but I suspect TFS still has a reasonable shelf life. I occasionally watch it myself but only later via Foxtel IQ when I can fast forward and watch what interests me. It's usually a 10-15 minute view.

Last time I watched TFS I could barely understand a word that was being said. Do they provide subtitles?

of course, they could have said "g'day" to each other a second earlier ... or the picture was hand picked to convey a certain message because, well ... newspaper sales thrive on controversy even when its confected.

IMO it looked much worse because the aggressor was wearing red and blue. If he was wearing a Collingwood jumper it would have been "play on".

Ed Curnow of Carlton will be sidelined for a month as a result of a shoulder injury incurred after he was tackled by a St. Kilda player on Monday night. The fact that it was the shoulder absolves the tackler of any guilt. Yet Patrick Dangerfield's "concussion" has magically been repaired and he's playing this weekend. Truth is stranger than fiction?

Watched it on tv and was mightily impressed with the form of the two rookies in the midfield, Evans and Nicholson. Both have a good turn of speed and make some good decisions when they have the ball. Really good prospects.

That's not news. Everybody knows that a diagnosis of three weeks on the MFC injury list actually means 6 to 8 weeks or more. Just look at Robert Campbell. A month ago he was only a couple of weeks away from playing and now he's 6 to 8. At that rate he'll be 10 weeks away by the time we get to the bye. Who's the phantom injury this week?

According to yesetrday's Herald Sun he has a two week injury. If that's right, the rumour's bollocks. If he's out longer than James Frawley there might possibly be some truth in the rumour but why would a premiership player of such impeccable integrity in the past, tell whoppers to get paid rookie wages? The rumour really doesn't make any sense to me.
