When I go to links, the old banner's still there staring at me. For some reason it makes me nervous.

SUMMER TIME AND THE DRAFTING'S EASY - PARTS 1, 2, 3 & 4
Deeman replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ah well ... if we must wait, I'll hang around for Jack Viney. -
Collingwood with its deplorable treatment of Fraser, O'Bree, Lockyer, Medhurst and fify goal a year Jack Anthony dropped out of the side in favour of youth and now no longer at the club. Neone Leon was shopped around as well with no takers. Shameful conduct.
-
So Bruce finished up a Collingwood player. What an unbelievable fall from grace!
-
... and on five year contracts as well

Could not disagree with you more. It's utter nonsense. The football department and the football department alone should be the arbiter of who to retain and who to let go. Nothing is more so when the player involved is 34 years old and showing signs of slowing down. Junior's long spell out after incurring a hamstring injury was an indication of this. Over at Collingwood, they won a flag after dropping experienced players like Fraser, Lockyer, Medhurst and ultimately there was no sentiment left even for Neon Leon. Ask any Magpie fan and they'll tell you that those decisions made the difference between winning a flag and missing out yet another time. We're entering a new era and you might not like it but there's no place for sentiment and if Cam Bruce was spooked by Junior being told to go at 34 or if he made some emotional decision to leave because he was unsure of his position at the club then IMO the decision to stand firm was not only totally vindicated but stands as proof that, for the first time in almost five decades, we as a club mean business.

Adios amigo!

Based on that assessment he still has a chance of slipping ahead of Art Vandelay for that important pick number 53.

I was so fascinated when I first saw George Clarke's You Tube on Chaplin's Time Traveller that I watched it again and again looking for a logical answer. Thanks for presenting it in such a way that doesn't rely on ancient superstitions or conspiracy theories. Your explanation is so obvious. I don't why I didn't work it out myself.

I thought he did the right and disciplined thing by passing to Petterd. After all. Petterd was marking everything in sight that day and he was in a good position to mark. Had the kick been timed just a split-second earlier it would have been all over red rover.

The entire concept is rubbish and smacks of the AFL's usual decision making on the run. GWS are hardly qualified or ready to play and their appearance will give their pool more of a freak show appearance. The subtle change to the Adelaide pool from post #10 makes one think that the Saints kicked up a stink about going interstate so the whipping boys Melbourne were switched into the pool. I'd be happy to see us send over the Casey team together with our rookie list and keep the A team for the NAB Challenge games in Kalgoorlie and Mount Isa.

... speculation mounts as to whether Art Vanderlay is going to get drafted.
-
Art's family have asked that his privacy be respected and, on his behalf, categorically deny he had anything to do with setting that house on fire. You'll have to ask Trapper's manager about that one.

Sounds like a man from another dimension. Which current player would say something like this today:-
-
Confuscious say "it easy to drown in pool of three". I don't know what that means but I believe the great man said it.

Love the photo. Reminds me very much of the time I visited Shanghai. Raided the courtesy fridge at the hotel, drank the contents and the rest was a blur. After seeing the picture I now think that was normal for the local TV and I really did stay sober. ←

Perhaps not but with Junior gone we definitely need a skipper!

On the off chance that the following 荣誉赞助商: means Kaspersky Cup Shanghai Showdown then we're in luck. If it means something rude or libellous I apologise and put it down to my ignorance of the language.

I think many here underestimate Jordan's ability as a footballer. In his early days at the Bulldogs he was a difficult player to beat and often ran the lines to good effect. It was only when he changed clubs and went to Richmond that he turned to slops and that matchwinning goal last year was uncharacteristic of his time in the yellow and black. It's unlikely he would have done it if they'd kept Terry Wallet as their coach. More lately he gave the Tigers' revival a massive boost by maintaining his consistently average form at Coburg therefore enabling their selectors to resist the temptation to promote him to AFL level.

Without a doubt this player is a rare gem. His skills, brain and overall football prowess made him a treat to watch in his debut season and he's only going to get better.

I sincerely hope that you recover those sunnies Tassie Dee, but if you don't find them soon why not take this matter up with the Chilean embassy. I notice that every one of their 33 miners was wearing a pair of sunnies when lifted out of that mine. Now, that's too much a coincidence to my mind. I reckon one of the 33 pairs belongs to you and it's worth a crack. If they won't give them back we could demand that Julia Gillard declares war on Chile.

Well that's it then. Let's put him on the next flight to Shanghai and put him in the 22 to play Brizvegas in the place of Kyle Cheney.

Perhaps it might be time to reintroduce the no Woewy threads rule.
