The MFC Facebook page reads: "Tune into the Footy Show tonight to hear the latest from Draft picks 1 & 2 Tom Scully and Jack Trengove live on Ch 9, from 9:30pm." Not sure if that means they are on, or just news. Just in case anyone wants to sit through the rest of the crap to find out.

Newspapers call it "The best 2nd half of football since Carey" Sounds good exept that it should read: "The best second half since the Wizard kicked 9 in a half against that same filth". I cant remember the year. But it was awsome.

Just think, In years to come, we can say "I was there when Tom and Jack played their first game for the Red and Blue.Remmember when the Dee's were struggling to win games and all looked hopeless." Of course no one will believe after dominating the last decade from 2012 onwards that the Mighty Demons were ever as bad as that.

Match Day Thread: Melbourne v. West Coast
The Great One 99 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
A game plan requires players with certain abilitys to carry out that plan. If the players dont have those skills, then you use a different game plan. You change your gameplan to suit your playing list. Why do we seem to be trying to fit the players into the gameplan. When the players attain the skills, then you adjust your gameplan. Isn't this what a coaches job is? To create a gameplan to suit his team? Maybe i'm just angry after another crap day. sorry. -
Match Day Thread: Melbourne v. West Coast
The Great One 99 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well put. I know that it is true but I am so sick of "Give it time" and "2 - 3 years" That crap is breeding a team that have a mindset of 'It is ok, we didn't win but we tried hard and we will be good one day.'Just so frustrating to watch every f'ing week. I serioiusly cannot think of a team that bottomed out and were as dissapointing as this for this long. But that's ok, give Bailey a new contract because we are going in the right direction. Which bloody direction are we pointing in. -
Definately will be one to watch on Saturday. Thats if he gets a go. Seems his opportunity may have come if he can take it. Stay tuned.

Read this on AFL website: Despite Melbourne's injury woes, there is some good news for rookie Daniel Hughes, who has battled injury during his time at the club. The talented forward has been named in the NAB Challenge squad. "We don't know if he'll make the final team yet - final selection is tomorrow - but he's in the squad and he's under consideration," O'Donnell said. "He's a great story, because he's had three years of injury frustration and he's finally getting back near full fitness and we're pretty keen to have a look at him." Truth, I haven't really seen a lot of him. Does anyone think that he has the goods to maybe step up?
-
Is Trengove actually playing this well, or is it just because he is South Australian that they assume he is our best player?
-
Dont think he was named in the side. Rested.
-
I think that the fix is better than what was actually written. This pre-season probably should be censored.

These guys are p#@sing me off, and the game hasn't even started yet. Man I hate adelaide.
-
My original thoughts were Jack Watts, and Peter Moore. Two brownlows, different clubs, blond hair. But I guess you wouln't of seen Watts at PP on Saturday.

My standout positives: Frawley was impressive. My opinion, our best. Scully looks fantastic doing exactly what has been said of him. In and under, quick smart handball clearances. Cheney has gone up a notch. did some good things. Morton played well. Miller kicked straight, at times when he would normally have missed. Sylvia is still very hard at it. He will have another big year.

F: Bennell Jurrah Bate HF: Miller Watts Green C: Sylvia Jones Macdonald HB: Davey Frawley Rivers B: Garland Warnock Joel Mac RU: Jamar Maloney Trengove Int: Bruce Grimes Scully Martin Tapscott

Hope you dont mind. I have also joined this league. (SuperDees). Also, some may laugh but I think B.Miller could be a good smokey this year. If we are better then we have been, then hw should take plenty of grabs due to his constant leads, and heres hoping he may finally pull it all together. Also, apparantly Bastinac for the Roo's is a cheap pick and from all reports is impressing big time.

Martin Pike got a few. (North and Lions)

Which Departure Hurt You The Most?
The Great One 99 replied to SidVicious's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ha Ha, good one. Andy 'Chopper' Lovell was one of my favorites and was spewing when he left. Even though he was in the twilight. Thompson and Brock also. -
I would agree with that. I will be stoked if we get Bastinac at 11. You can never have too many midfielders. IMO. And they seem like less of a gamble.
-
1. Tom Scully 2. Jack Trengrove 11. Andrew Moore 18. Ryan Bastinac 34. Maybe Grimes? 50. Myles Sewell? Id be happy with that.
-
Sounds spot on with me too. Dont know why, but I really like Bennell in 13. Reminds me a bit of Yze.

Luke Ball in the National Draft
The Great One 99 replied to Hazyshadeofgrinter's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks. I was just thinking that we could draft him. And then pay him minimum wage so he can play at Casey all year. Just to [censored] him off. He he -
Luke Ball in the National Draft
The Great One 99 replied to Hazyshadeofgrinter's topic in Melbourne Demons
Q:If Ball is picked in the ND. Is it true that a player cannot nominate his salary, and must take whatever is offered? -
Maybe he will not be good enough, but the poll says should Newton be considered. I would think that if any player is on our list, then he should be considered. Otherwise why is he on our list? Maybe be will tear Casey apart and force the club to consider him. Probably not, but you never know.

Magnificent.

What about Wojinski. Does anyone else rate him? He is super quick. I keep thinking he could be the one. (PSD#1). Not really a star, but I think he could be a handy pick up for nothing.
