Sorry to ask this, but is it definately true? I did not see todays paper, and i cannot find any info on MFC website or AFL. Just thought that if it was definately happening then I could read about it somewhere? What exactly did it say?

Top three CHF's to replace Ricky Bobby?
The Great One 99 replied to Alan Johnson's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think Dunne could play Pettards role in a similar way, as he played when he started at the club. Morton could then fill the place in which Dunn is playing at the moment. But i'm hoping that Pettard will still be ok. crossed fingers. -
Cameron Bruce - enough is enough
The Great One 99 replied to Trengove_is_God's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree. Bruce played as well, or better than anyone of our players today. I thought that it was great to see him getting into some form. Really suprised when I read this thread. -
6. Cameron Bruce 5. Aaren Davey 4. James McDonald 3. Tom Scully (improving more each week imo, very exiting) 2. Brad Green 1. Jack Grimes apologies to Lynden Dunn.

If I remmember last year correctly, Hamish Macintosh kicked a few goals when he went forward. We will probably need to help out in defense to cut him out due to his size. Rivers could come in to play this role. Not sure who to drop though. They also have a coupe of midfielders that are ok, besides Harvey. I think if we keep up our tackle rate and pressure, we should be much stronger in the clearances to do enough to win. Hopefully Pettard is ok to play.

Definately a Ripper. Hopefully we can get a monopoly of the rising star in the coming weeks. Hoping for Scully, MacKenzie, Bail. All deserving.
-
A bit wrong. Probably 23 would be more appropriate. Just due to the age gap. Otherwise fine.
-
6. James Frawley 5. Mathew Warnock 4. Brent Maloney 3. Nathan Jones 2. Jack Trengove 1. Ricky Pettard

NicNat is probably going to be a star. He is being pumped up so much by the media because that is what the media do. He is being over rated at this stage of his carrer because he looks like he is going to be a star, and he certainly has freakish abilities. Very similar hype in what has been created around Liam Jurrah.

6. Jnr.Mac 5. Brent Maloney 4. Mark Jamar 3. Colin Sylvia 2. Tom Scully 1. Jack Grimes I felt a lot of love for jnr today. He is inspirational.

Yes. It may not mean that he definately wants to go, but history definately shows that some players like to return to their home state. (Scott Thompson to name just one). I did not mean to say that he will automatically want to return home, but it is definately more likely than the same player from Victoria. Having said that, I would think that Gold Coast would not have Bail at the top of their list from our club anyway.
-
Out of this list I would be trying to resign Jamar asap. Especially if he continues to improve, which I think he will. Also, isnt Bail from Qld too? I maybe wrong.
-
Trengove at the present looks like he really could be a future superstar. Hoping to maybe add Sam Blease to this list too. Give it a couple years and we might finally have some players to include in Mike Sheehans top 50. Has been a while. Not that anyone rates his opinion though.

Be interested to know how we rate in total tackles compared to other teams. I think we were 2nd or 3rd most this week.
-
I am glad I am not a Richmond supporter. What message does it send when after your team gets smashed and most should be feeling pretty ordinary with themselves, as im sure most of their fans were. Instead they are out having a good time on the booze. What would you have thought if our players were doing this after the Hawthorn game? Says a bit about their players to me.
-
Understand your frustration, but you have highlighted his comment by not being there.

IN: Sylvia, Rivers OUT: Newton, Bartram (unlucky, thought he was real good today, but still prefer Rivers and to persist with others before him. Mainly only to do with age).

Match Preview: Collingwood v Melbourne
The Great One 99 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
3 - a 4 quarter tackling pressure effort, and for us to match them in the tackle count at the end of the game That will be my number one. I want to see every Melbourne player busting a gut for 4 quarters -
I think we will improve, Hopefully big improve closer to the end of the season. (7-8 wins). But I would definately consider trading our first round pick for some more experiance depending on what was available. Wondering if others might think likewise.

Yes, Pia should leave Brad. I will take care of her. For the sake of the club of course
-
What about if we get Bailey to coach them for the day? sorry.

6. Brad Green 5. James McDonald 4. Jared Rivers 3. Jack Grimes 2. Jordie McKenzie 1. Jack Trengove

Some gun new recruits to debut, The dawning of a big future. + there is always upsets in round 1. No weak excuses, BE THERE!! If for no other reason than Jimmy asked you to. Show the champion pres that we are coming along for the ride. ...can we add a poll of Y/N attendance to this topic

Best bets: Brendon Goddard $34.00 for Brownlow and to try and keep a Melbourne theme Jack Trengove $6.50 for Rising star looks good too. And remember: Gamble responsibly
