  1. It definitely feels like a tremendous weight has been lifted since becoming premiers. Sure going out in straight sets was frustrating, but the warmth and pride of winning it in 2021 definitely helped lessen the blow. Ill forever be content knowing I lived to see a Melbourne premiership.
  2. A great night. I only wished I’d set up a camera taping myself watching the game. The highs of the first quarter, followed by the next 1.5 quarters getting further and further gloomy……………………and then 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
  3. 2022 would suggest he is not entirely wrong
  4. Sorry @A F, but our small forwards proved for the majority of the year (especially in the 2nd half), that they cannot be trusted to bring the heat required. Our forward pressure was woeful this year, so too was the midfield’s. Our back line did well to hold up for as long as it did. It ain’t going to be as easier a fix as you suggest. Goody also needs to stop playing favourites and give chances to those who earn them
  5. Maybe 12 players not 100% or with niggles, but I doubt we’d have had 12 injured players take the field
  6. If bringing in Henry means that Kossie stays long term, then where do I sign?!!!
  7. You are correct. He is currently entrenched in our bottom 6. The area we need to improve in.
  8. I lay the blame for the second half of the year squarely on the coaches. I thought our playing group gave their absolute all and admirably left nothing in the tank.
  9. 100% correct this year. There was such a disconnect between Max and our mids that it more often than not saw us losing the clearance battle when he was rucking. I don’t want to win hit outs, I want us to win clearances as this is when we play our best football.
  10. Hunt hurt us quite a few times this year with his poor disposal and decision making, especially some horrific turnovers in the finals (he wasn’t alone though). However, we absolutely need his dash and dare, just further up the field. He would do very well on the opposite wing to Langdon.
  11. Yep, and im sure we'd be interested in Max King or Harry McKay. Doesn't me there's any chance of them coming to us.
  12. Please don't encourage him, he belongs in the 19th Century, not on the air with his own show on Sky News (Australia's own Fox News).
  13. Yes, this could very well be his legacy if he wants it to be.
  14. IF and i stress IF these allegations are proven to be correct, these 2 are in for some serious ramifications.
  15. These are serious breaches of basic human rights. Don't worry about AFL implications, if some of these accusations are proven to be true, some should be facing imprisonment.
  16. Short sighted? Yes. At least we’re looking like going all-in to chase another flag. It’s the only thing I like about this move.
  17. Spargo plays more of a HFF role, getting up the ground instead of staying inside 50. That’s his forte and he is good at it, he is a victim of bombing it in over his head. The team either need to make a habit of going through him, or he may as well just stay inside 50 as a crumbing forward.
  18. Can see where you’re coming from old, that draft picks are unknowns, but imo so is an injured ruckman who couldn’t get on the park for the second half of the year
  19. If the filth want a first rounder in return, they can pay half of Grundy’s wage.
  20. I’ve kept a close eye on Flanders’ AFL progress, as he is a Fish Creek junior and his family is basically royalty at the FCFNC. To me, he lacks any real weapons to forge a successful career at AFL level (I’d have him back at FC in a heart beat though ❤️). Sure he’s tough in the contest, but the majority of midfielders are nowadays. There’s nothing that really sets him apart from others.
