We've got to stop comparing Kozzie of this year to 2021. Just because it was a premiership year means squat, he was only 20 so improvement should be expected. He has since become a much more lethal small forward and influenced games much greater. His past 2 years has shown how far he has come since 2021, and it's because of his past 2 years that indicates he is down on form.

It’s because we know he’s such a gun and has genuine impact that it’s easy to identify he’s in a form slump.

100%. He’s struggling with his form and needs to get back to the basics of being a small forward. Forward pressure, crumbing the packs when it comes in and always on the move. Do this and form will come soon.

Kozzie and Chandler need to get busy in the forward line. Just be front and centre at the fall of the ball.

What made Bowey so good towards the end of 2021 was his willingness to take the game on. He’s not been as daring this year. As for Salem, he is a pretty slow player of the ball. How often does he quickly move the ball on? This is why Rivers shines. He has the skills of Salem, the dare of an early Bowey and more physicality than the both of them combined. When he’s going at full tilt, there are few players better to watch imo.

By far and away our most improved this year. When he’s on we are devastating.

Totally agree. Umpires influence the outcomes of games, those that don’t think so are kidding themselves. There was no conclusive evidence that the ball was or wasn’t touched on the line. How do we know that it wasn’t touched? Either way, with such poor technology being adopted and HQ’s refusal to resolve it, it is inevitable that it will cost a team a premiership in future. As for being too nice a club, instead of focusing our attention on such an issue, I’d rather we concentrate on our lapses in pressure and our lack of taking the initiative in games. We are simply way too defensively minded. We need to come out and put the game to bed early against the Hawks, as the longer they are in it the more their confidence will grow and our defensive mindset will suffocate us.
